I was never into this stuff but: That "adventure time" show was pretty popular in the 7-8 grades. I always thought the show was stupid, but you wouldn't dare say that out loud. In 6th grade cell phones were THE thing to have. This was back when they were just starting to let kids bring them to school. Trading card games were big back in 5th grade.
