Treasures of the Lost are not cosmetic only
Pay-to-win has come to "Destiny". As part of the Festival of the Lost, players can use silver to purchase Treasures of the Lost. This random package could include items that speed up weapons upgrades and glimmer farming. So, remember when Bungie said silver would only be used for cosmetic items? Well, they aren't.
Micro-transactions are a slippery slope. The community needs to keep Bungie from going down that slope. Make your voices hear. Raise a ruckus. Let the Bungie faithful assail your revulsion of micro-transactions and pay-to-win. Let them see your resolve. Until Bungie relents and goes back to making "Destiny" the game it should be, we hold the line.

These aren't cosmetic items only. They include consumables.
Edit: Keep responding. "STFO, "Never go full . . .", "You're an idot". It's all there already. Every reply bumps this post and keeps the pressure on Bungie to avoid going pay-to-win. And yes, I know some Guardians would love it if "Destiny" went pay-to-win and they could just buy a Gjallarhorn 3.0, but that's not the game I bought.

They are reskinned they don't do anything better than the ones you have this is totally a pay to win.

Good luck winning Iron Banner or Trials if you didn't buy the Taken King since your light level is capped inadvertently by not being able to get King's Fall loot. I mean it's been like that. Same thing with the Dark Below and House of Wolves when they came out. You were left behind if you didn't pay. I mean that's not a new concept. You guys are just looking at it in a different way.

You your are upset they are selling candy version of telemetry and candy version of ether seeds and other glimmer farming items? Things already in the game and most people should have plenty of. If someone wants to buy candy version of telemetry for real money instead of just using glimmer at gunsmith then let them They have not added any pay to win features.

Seriously, pop a Chocolate Strange Coin (Cabal glimmer boost) then try to pop a Resupply Code. You can't, they share a common cooldown timer. These candy versions don't even stack with the originals, and let's face it we all have tons of these glimmer consumables already. I have 80+ Resupply Codes, do you really think I'm gaining an advantage because I have a corny chocolate version that does the same thing. Same goes for the weapon boost ones. Reskinned telemetries and nothing more. Pay to win? Give me a break.

It means if you pay an amount of real money you can get to the highest level in a game and just win by doing that. The reason you're stupid: you can't get the highest level or even close or even any good weapons by doing this. Please never post your idiocy on these forums again.

Don't bother with most of these people, they can't see that you aren't complaining, but rather pointing out how easy it would be for the big wigs to take the next step. All they see are Halloween equivalents of easy to obtain consumables, not people setting in a board room saying "we made this much money on useless items, think about how much we could make on strange coins, weapon parts, etc."

Jesus Christ I'm rolling in glimmer and have hundreds of seeds and wax idols. I don't thinks anyone is hurting for consumables. If anything these candy things are crushing my overflowing vault space.

3 RepliesPeople don't understand what happens in things like this. Destiny starts off slow selling little things that help players get things a little easier. Slowly they will start adding more and more for an increased amount of silver. They are gonna test what they can get away with and then push it a little farther taking advantage of the money people are willing to spend. Next thing you know strange coins are being sold and Destiny secretly decreased the amount of strange coins being dropped in game. Xur comes strange coins are scarce and xur has something the person really wants

The packages aren't game breaking, all they are is fun with a little added bonus on the side, whitch is to say the little candies and such. I happen to have a few of them. And it's all in good fun I could use say....motes of light. To upgrade them if you want. Or use one of my million black wax idols, ether seeds, and supply codes. But I'd rather use chocolate strange coins instead. And the sour gummy's are not being particularly sold so much as gambled. And once again their funner to use than a telemetry.
