The problem I have with the doom-and-gloom crowd is that everyone is assuming that there is only one potential outcome here, and that's just not the case. For starters, I would consider something pay-to-win if it affected the competitive environment of the game. These things don't give any legitimate in-game advantage, no matter how you want to spin it. There is exactly ZERO effect on the competitive environment of Destiny. Secondly, and assuming people can think logically here, who are you to dictate how people can choose to spend their own money? If someone wants to buy a bunch of silver for emotes and these new packages, why shouldn't they be able to? For what it's worth, I'm vehemently against anything pay-to-win. That would completely change the competitive environment of the game and most likely ruin the experience for me. But this isn't it, you're jumping the gun here people. Bungie has clearly stated that pay-to-win is NOT their plan, stop trying to automatically make them the bad guys here.
