Light Level and TRUE level are no longer tied to each other (like they were pre-TTK), but as far as I'm aware, BOTH still factor into a players damage output/intake.
Think about Vanilla Destiny; a lvl34 character using a Green weapon would still do more damage than a lvl2 using the same weapon. As far as I can see, that still factors in.

No the game evens everything out I've solo'd a taken zealot on my lvl 14 alt I made last night. I'm sure there are many other players who can give you similar stories.. Everyone bitched about the game now bungie has implemented systems that scale everything based on the player
-
Dude, that in no way goes against my point. Yes, the game now takes into account your overall power levels, and "evens out" your light levels as a result. But part of that equation is still your base level!! Do you not understand that? And, again, my post is specifically talking about LEGENDARY/EXOTIC GEAR. No greens, no blues, just purple and yellow.
-
Legendaries can still be acquired at lvl 10 you not understanding that bungie isn't going to set year ones for infuse because that would allow lvl 10s into end game quests, strikes, and raids.. Its stupid to even think they would.. They are already generous enough as it is
-
Sorry. But a lvl 10 toon couldn't carry a 300+ legendary or exotic. That high of a light level would be from grinding and breaking down lvl 40 legendaries, which a lvl 10 would not have access to. And noone in their right mind would run a raid at lvl 10 to begin with.
-
You're telling me that you can equip legendary gear at lvl 10...?
-
But I guess some ppl won't be happy unless bungie just hands everything to them... Make your year ones into year two's enough said
But I guess some ppl won't be happy unless bungie just hands everything to them...
When did I ask for a handout, bro? If I could infuse my Adept Primaries, for example, I would still need to grind through all the same raids/strikes/etc. as everyone already does in order to get high-level gear to infuse them with. No different from the system that's already in place.
-
The point is the fact you would be able to infuse the high lvl gears into lvl 10 profiles/alts.. Bungie isn't going to allow this I promise you
