Burning through Reciprocal Runes isn't particularly fun or productive (More Stolen/Antiquated Rune drops)

The amount of Reciprocal Runes I've burnt through playing Court of Oryx is insane, I estimate I've burnt 80 or more Reciprocal Runes at least trying to get Stolen Runes, and I estimate I've found at most 5 Stolen Runes and 1 Antiquated Rune. Considering how random the drop chance is, combined with the hours and hours you put in, it should be checked and drop rate increased at the very least. Trying to find the remainder of the Tier 2 Court of Oryx Calcified Fragments has been a monumental PITA just because of the random drop chance of Stolen Runes, burning through blue engrams, artifacts, weapons, armour, only to have nothing drop after hours and hours of Court of Oryx. One time I burnt through a stack of just under 30 Reciprocal Runes not to get a single Stolen Rune. I understand it's meant to be random, but it's such a waste of time doing the low level Tier 1 on Court of Oryx just to be awarded utter crap over and over again ad nauseum.

Destiny's loot system is designed in a way to consume as much of your time as possible, whilst offering you the least amount of sort after rewards as possible. This is why their are so many duplicate exotic drops, and it's why Bungie aren't in a hurry to fix the 'bug' that causes the high chances of duplicates. The loot system is meant to keep you hooked liked a gambling machine. As long as many people keep playing the game, Bungie has no reason to change a thing.
