ZOMG! Those consumables cost like 5 weapon parts at the gunsmith....you think ppl would rather spend 5 bucks than 5 weapon oarts? Thats your arguement right now.

These retards are going to try to find every little thing to bìtch about on here, it never ends until they've eventually realised they're wrong and no one cares and then they move on to the next thing all the kids are crying about

Whether you agree with him, or disagree, you completely gloss over the fact that what the op has stated is true... to a point. They said cosmetic only, they made it a big deal to point out that it would only go as far as cosmetic. But like I've tried pointing out to some, it always starts with something simple to get people to accept the fact. Then a another little push happens. Everyone stated through out the forums, it's just cosmetic so stfu. Now it's just stupid consumables. Next it will just be stupid shaders, then stupid sparrows, then stupid ships, then other consumables. You are fed little bits to get you to say well that isn't so bad. There are many examples through life that show this happening outside video games. If you choose not to see it, or choose not to care that's fine. But to tell him he's being stupid (or implying it), when he brings up a valid point, shows you are falling in to a corporate trap. The only clear example of microtransactions being implemented in to a game you pay for ahead of time is gta5. The rest will sell you everything in an effort to make even more money. If you don't believe bungie/activision is looking at the money this seasonal event is raking in, and planning something to push the boundary just a little more, then you my friend are blind. And sorry if you see this as a personal attack, that is not my intent.

Shaders aren't cosmetic? Ships aren't cosmetic? Sparrows, perhaps. But I see those as cosmetic, too. Unless they introduced one with superior stats, but even then, it would get you somewhere a matter of seconds faster. Big deal. Weapons? Armor? Items to increase your cance of loot? Items to increase light level of loot? Items to reroll weapons? Items to gain better or unique perks? These will get me to leave Destiny and any future Bungie game.
-
My point is these things will condition you to be OK with armor, weapons, whatever else, when they do come out with it. And I whole heartedly believe that's what they're doing here. Simply conditioning the player base slowly, to accept it when it does happen.
-
There would be a class action lawsuit as Bungie has officially stated this would not happen multiple times. Otherwise I would agree with you.

Nothing but time will tell. I personally plan to continue enjoying the game while I can.

You don't even need to consumables. But you'll cry about it too. Do you realize it makes your character worse? But yep you're right, closer to pay to win, to win you have to make your character worse. I forgot. Please forgive mighty smart kid
