You guys know the ones. The teams that are always elitists, that get pissed off every time you die, the ones who berate you for playing a Warlock, and especially those who implement a strategy completely different than what you're used to and they expect you to be able to get it down first try.
Don't tell me I'm the only one that's been there? I play hardcore, don't get me wrong, but when it gets to the point where name-calling and yelling and screaming happens, that's not motivation. That's just downright abuse.
Edit: It sucks to know so many people can relate to this bullshit, but good to know there are others out there who are just as sick of it as I am. :)

Edited by Jammiejam2k: 11/1/2015 9:32:26 PMHey guys, ya right and your wrong, I know what u mean, but there's good people out there too, my sons 8 years old and he's beat the raid on normal 7 and once on hard, I've only played the raid twice with him, so that's 6 times with randoms So if there's people who will take their time with an 8 year old! Im sure u can find people to do it with too His gamer tag is "TheFend"

I would rather have warlocks than hunters at oryx hard. You should have two titans, one hunter and three warlocks.

You need to host your own team, that's where you're going wrong. It's such an easy thing to do, I'm consistently amazed with all the people who complain but do nothing proactive
-
I always host a friendly environment raid team. :)
-
I'm always confused when randoms refer to the platforms by 1,2,3 & 4 what's so hard about top left, top right, ect... What is 1,2,3 & 4 even supposed to mean

Edited by VisageOfAnAngel: 11/2/2015 6:39:26 AMThere's only one (two at Oryx) effective strategy per fight. If you don't know it and you've played the raid more than three times you deserve to be kicked. If it's just one of the elitist prats who insist on blaming everyone for a wipe except themselves tell them to bugger off, take your checkpoint, and find someone decent.
-
Not being racist but i personally found that 99% of the elitests i have encountered are americans. Same for bossy team members.
-
Just mute them in the forums and block then on Xbone live, or PSN. They won't go away. They feed off attention. Don't give it to them and they will go away.

I just hate when people don't communicate! I can't stress how important simple communication is. For e.g knight coming out, switching right side. Honestly, I've played with teams where like 3/6 people will communicate that's it. It goes along way.

Yeah that's just a lot of ppl man. A lot of ppl are just dbags. All of us who depend on LFG teams have to deal with it at times. I've done some super smooth raids with a couple clan mates and cool LFG ppl but also have had some bad experiences. I want to run the raid 6 times a week, I enjoy it when the team is cool. But I haven't even attempted hard mode this week on any character because I'm dreading the RNG team I'll get. Not to mention, we're not chasing yr 2 fatebringer or anything, so there's no incentive to suffer with dbags for relatively crap loot.. or even no loot at all.

I got with a team on my second full attempt at the raid. It went fairly smoothly seeing as how it was my second and another dude's first. One guy was kind of being a tool about it, but we got through it. Now here's the dumb as fućk part. The one guy needed to do a Nightfall so I figured I'd pay it forward and help him out with it since he helped with the raid. So we did the Nightfall and he kept saying shit like, "look at my X weapon." So every time I did and was like, I literally have the same exact ones. Then he would reply with, "but look at the light." For example, his 1k Stare was like 310+. I didn't even respond. He kept trying to one up me on everything. I decided to look past it and we ran some lvl 36 strikes for the hell of it. He kept making call outs like we were playing ToO and trying to coach me through the strikes that I've all ran 100's of times already. I cannot understand the mindsets of people like this. I can be somewhat of an elitist myself and gloat about certain things at times, but I NEVER take it far enough to how that guy was acting.

had a lot of this elitist crap happening lately. almost to the point that i was just about done raiding. just not worth the headaches. until last night. i was in a random team that i joined on the 100. best team/raid i've ever been a part of. everyone was laid back. i don't think 1 negative word was spoken. lots of fun. not everyone was experienced at "being torn" at the witches. took turns letting everyone get experience. there were a couple times we even had to intentionally wipe just so the other couple guys could have a run. sure it took longer than normal.....but it was such a better experience than being with a bunch of elitist ***holes. we all friended everyone in the party. so hopefully all 6 of us can regroup next week.
-
Exactly. This guy I was raiding with said I got picked off GarbageLFG.com (hilarious right?) and starting being rude. He started saying indirect insults and straight up saying I was trash. I did the raid about 10 time today and was getting fatigued. Invited him to a rumble game to prove how trash I was. You can see the results on the recent games on my Hunter.
-
I played with a guy who was like " it's impossible for hunters to do the cheat to cross the wall after golgoroth by the exotic chest"his friend did it 3rd try. Also remember a person with a voice like datto who just cried about our mistakes even though it was his first time raiding.

I take this very often
im a squeaker
I don't have a mic and whenever something goes wrong I get blamed for it. Today I did the totems and I carried my side and always sniped the boomers and nothing. Some other guy melees a thrall and somehow ITS AMAZING
-
I was in an abusive team. They -blam!- up and it's fine. As soon as I mess up once, they went ballistic and sounded kinda whiny like a spoiled brat that didn't get what he wanted for Christmas. I told him my wife had an extra tampon if he needed it. They kicked me. Lol
-
I use lfg all the time and honestly the bitches are rare and get booted 100% of the time when they cross the line.
-
Just laugh at them. I find it funny they use the same weapons to get by and toss those that don't have them. After 128,617 engrams dropped after TKK was launched, I finally got a 300 item. It gets better.
-
Not condoning name calling, but it sounds like you are joining pug groups that require you to know something you don't know.
-
The only time I'll say anything about a wipe is when they miss the -blam!-ing jump when torn
-
I've never let it get to that point. If people are even annoying I'll just tell them I'm sorry but gtg and find another team.
-
Yeah it sucks but you can leave. If it's honestly so horrible you shouldn't put up with it just for loot.
