You guys know the ones. The teams that are always elitists, that get pissed off every time you die, the ones who berate you for playing a Warlock, and especially those who implement a strategy completely different than what you're used to and they expect you to be able to get it down first try.
Don't tell me I'm the only one that's been there? I play hardcore, don't get me wrong, but when it gets to the point where name-calling and yelling and screaming happens, that's not motivation. That's just downright abuse.
Edit: It sucks to know so many people can relate to this bullshit, but good to know there are others out there who are just as sick of it as I am. :)
-
Then don't play with them. Problem solved. Welcome to the internet, where feels don't mean shit.
-
There was one guy like that in my last raid group when i was running KF Hardmode. He left after we died on oryx ONCE
-
I hate when people start blaming each other for mistakes. Every time I make a mistake I let them know it was me, say sorry, and we try again.
-
Sounds like u need a clan.
-
You should be able to tell in the first couple of minutes. I just leave if they are aids.
-
You can be a warlock that's no problem I main a warlock. But when your trying to do a raid and if that one person keeps dying over and over again it's tolerable for so long as long as it's simple mistakes. But constant dying and it tends to piss people off
-
I am glad i am not playing this raid. On top of that i still havent play it yet so oh well.
-
Then make your own raid team, with hookers and blackjack.
-
I get name calling its funny. But if some one sucks really bad I will yell a little and kick.
-
Ya then they die and always have an excuse or how it's someone else's fault drives me up the wall
-
Same thing happens for every new raids yeah
-
The worst is when someone joins your raid group and tries to take charge because they have "beat hard mode 10 times". Especially when they are the one random and tell us our strategy is wrong even though we complete it everytime without fail.
-
I know the McStruggle well my friend.
-
Quit dying then Its not hard, in one night killed oryx on all 3 chars Thats what happens when you dont die
-
It's true, recently it's been ruining this raid because the new raid is only fun if I don't get a bunch of assholes. Ruins raiding and it kills any reason for me to try hard mode more because I get so many salty teams at deathsinger
-
I'll agree to this. Make me feel like crap sometimes so I have avoided doing the KF
-
I can agree. Sometimes I do that, but it is only to my friends as a joke, if any of the raid members don't understand it, then they can deal. But usually there's a laugh from the person by the way I say it. But I hate the people that honestly do it to blame. That's just being a dick to someone who made a mistake.
-
I'm never the leader of my raid team, but this one guy is. 75% of the time, he's cool. Other 25% he isn't. He just thinks he's so entitled. like if he tells someone to shut the -blam!- up, that's perfectly fine. But if someone so much as asks him to be quiet... kicked or raged at. He's just so loud, doesn't help my noise sensitivity. I'm normally not a push over, but that shit gets old quick. And what's worse is he's always trying to be the best at every game, then complains there's nothing to do... like enjoy the -blam!-ing game asshole. Last but not least he has a prejudice against squeakers. I personally don't have a problem with them if they're cool, but he just hates all of them. He kicked my friend cause he was a "squeaker", even though he really wasn't. *sigh* I used to be a nice person. Rant over.

Edited by Muin: 10/28/2015 10:00:31 AMYeah there's no doubt that there are many toxic little douche out there that are wholly deserving of a good slap up the side of the head. Fortunately there are also many decent folk playing too, it's just about finding them. I held off raiding for a long time, partly as I was waiting for some friends to level up (which I got bored of doing eventually) and partly as I couldn't be bothered going in with a bunch of randoms and experiencing exactly what you described. In the end I went to www.the100.io, joined a few groups and I can't recommend it enough. On my very first raid I was in with guys who were friendly, funny and most of all very patient in explaining the mechanics. -blam!- the self-important little kids that are all to numerous these days, there are good folk out the who make the game worthwhile.
-
I hate when you're doing a strike and the other 2 ppl just rush into the boss room or GO IN THE OTHER F***ING DIRECTION!!! WHY DO YOU JOIN IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO DO THE STRIKE!? Do you do it just to piss me off or what?
-
I got kicked from a raid team today for eating chips with my mike on
-
Crying
-
I agree it's been worse since ttk came out but there is some decent folk that play it and enjoy it for what it is a game not real life

If someone is really rude and crosses the line - report them to either Bungie or PSN/XBOX. Simples.
