You guys know the ones. The teams that are always elitists, that get pissed off every time you die, the ones who berate you for playing a Warlock, and especially those who implement a strategy completely different than what you're used to and they expect you to be able to get it down first try.
Don't tell me I'm the only one that's been there? I play hardcore, don't get me wrong, but when it gets to the point where name-calling and yelling and screaming happens, that's not motivation. That's just downright abuse.
Edit: It sucks to know so many people can relate to this bullshit, but good to know there are others out there who are just as sick of it as I am. :)

If someone is really rude and crosses the line - report them to either Bungie or PSN/XBOX. Simples.
-
Just fart in the mic!
-
That's why I play in a clan
-
It happens. Sadly enough
-
This is why we always start our own raids. :)
-
I put up with people for a while but there gets a point where I can't take it anymore and get pissed. I mean if you haven't mastered something as simple as jumping or repeatedly forget to make sure you don't have the blighted light bomb I'm gonna be pretty pissed. I give groups about 10 or so tries on most checkpoints before I leave
-
Make your own fire team then you can decide who stays & goes
-
I can relate. Especially recently when the hard mode raid got released. This shit never helps anyone to complete the raid. People only get frustrated and leave, some even delete Destiny altogether. Stay calm, have a positive attitude, focus only on the raid and be patient - that's my recommendation for the raid.
-
Guys don't let these groups ruin your fun. The raids are one of the best parts of Destiny and so are the random people you play with. Yes there are those a hole groups but you will know they are within 5 mins of being in there group. Just leave them and look for another group. If they are posting a certain lvl they want, then they may be in a hurry, doesn't make them bad guys. Hosting your own raid gives you options. For one if one of these abusive players joins then you can kick and replace them. I feel your pain on some of this but don't give up there are plenty of really nice guardians out here that are patient and don't mind teaching or helping.
-
This is why I don't raid. I know I'm not the best and I don't feel like getting yelled at because of it. Plus I'm not a people person and the thought of having to talk scares me and makes me a tad bit uncomfortable. Lol.
-
Fortunately only had this a couple of times. Just gotta make sure your leader. Be polite, warn them next if they carry on. Boot when necessary.
-
I'm dancing on some stair rails at the Tower and having the time of my life. F Raiding

It's unfortunate but this problem has been around for as long as I can remember. Hell, back in my days of playing WoW with a paladin, I was set for tanking and went to a group finder for some raiding. Now there used to be a program that would give an item level of a person and people would use that to assess whether or not they would be kicking you from the group. So I find two other people for dps, pass their bs inspection, and then we find another person specced for healing. His items were a bit off, but he would still be able to handle it just fine. However, the two guys weren't happy at all with his item level, so they were going to kick him. I said to them if they were going to kick a much needed healer then they would have to find a new tank as well. We at least got to finish that raid.
-
I know a dude like that. My normal group brought two new people along for the hard raid. One guy is great (person and player). His friend however is one raging ape. When he dies there's always excuses. When one of us dies he goes absolutely ham on them. People try to talk to him as little as possible. It causes so much tension and uneasiness in the fireteam that it's not fun. We'll be at it for hours. He'll end up rage quitting. We get someone new in and we get it in 3 goes. This has happened twice now. I'm removing myself from the equation even though the ragers friend is one of the best players I've met.
-
Definitely a lot of scumbags in this game.
-
Been playing since beta have about 1500 hours and completed every raid except hard mode taken and I remember a time where guys were real cool in raids but when TTK came out it seems like it's gotten a lot of new players who are very good but act like they kno everything while acting like c*nts.its not fun for me anymore it sucks cus I love the game. Even deleted guys I've known since vog this raid is a friend killer lol.
-
Take the scrutiny as a challenge to exceed their expectations, or just leave.
-
I have heard horror stories about that as well. If you are on the 360 and want to do the raid feel free to message me and I'm sure my guild will help you out.
-
Since KF dropped, it's been nothing but "Malice and Spindle ONLY" or "Put the emblem on or you're kicked" It's just ridiculous. Granted with VoG and Crota there was always dicks about but seriously. I haven't seen this many douche bags since every teen-horror flick ever made.
-
My friend and I ran into a few of them. Just boot them man. Not worth playing with elitist pricks.
-
Its all good i just dont plug my mic in anymore, at some stage bungie will sort this out,too many ppl complaining about not being able to raid (rightly so). The (im godly at 310 + light) attitude just shows ppl need a reality check . Until then il just solo or do what ever. Support
-
I'm thinking about the new strat. This thing is bad, a really bad strategy. Is it that hard to kill 4 knights?
-
Yeah, this is one of the reasons I havnt done even a normal KF yet since switching to xb1
-
Yeah I was playing with a Random last week, Normal Raid. We were running through it fairly easily, until Warpriest where there were some botches so he began to pretty much call everyone on the team Sh!t, not directly at them, but indirectly. Just little digs here and there. Well after a bit people started dropping and he didn't get why. He kept asking why are people dropping, we almost have this. Whenever he messed up which was often he never took blame, it was always someone else's fault. So frustrating. I eventually left too and did it quickly with another random group. I feel your pain OP.
-
I joined a clan to avoid this back in VoG days, still with these guys, there's no screaming etc. We just a group of friends who get the job done. I can't recommend enough you join a few clans and try to find an experience like mine :P
-
Only thing I experience is Douche who harass/insult my disability just because they claim I'm not "communicating". I mean damn do you really need communication if you stay in the center when atheon can f-ing shoot you?
