You guys know the ones. The teams that are always elitists, that get pissed off every time you die, the ones who berate you for playing a Warlock, and especially those who implement a strategy completely different than what you're used to and they expect you to be able to get it down first try.
Don't tell me I'm the only one that's been there? I play hardcore, don't get me wrong, but when it gets to the point where name-calling and yelling and screaming happens, that's not motivation. That's just downright abuse.
Edit: It sucks to know so many people can relate to this bullshit, but good to know there are others out there who are just as sick of it as I am. :)

Everyone screws up now and then but when someone is consistently the first person to die I have to question them on what they're doing wrong. In a raid with no revives you're hurting your whole team when you die.
-
Hey man I got booted from a team today right when we got to Oryx after starting fresh and then got told to "git gud", so I feel your pain.

Edited by YOGAFLAME89: 10/28/2015 5:38:52 AMDon't get mad, just put on a Crota mask and launch Nova Bombs at Oryx. Two things I've never seen is an UFO and a team I need
-
You sir have fragile feelings
-
I know what you're talking about, there's just some people out there who find any little mistake to be a personal insult. Those people need to grow the hell up.
-
Abusive, you get abused from a raid team?
-
I agree but there is a certain point where enough is enough. We were doing war priest with a relatively under leveled group (low 300s) but I still wanted to give it a go. I'm on the left side with this guy who's rocking a red bar the entire time. It was to the point where he did little to no damage/his mic won't even work and to top it off he refused to switch to a defender Titan and remained a sunbreaker. Ultimately we did beat the war priest after a handful of tries.
-
If a raid team has dumb requirements I refuse to play with them. That way I've avoided teams like that all together.
-
What's worse is when the same person keeps dying over and over again.
-
Dude it was not like that in year 1 raids. Not that it feels great to be carried all the time but watching videos isn't learning. Need to experience. And not all of us have time to play all freaking day long. I usually play at night cause I have a career. But I've been playing since day 1 and know the game well. Just wanted to say u r not alone. I'm on ps4 if you or anyone else want to get a group together to give the raid a shot. I have 3 characters each with max light around 295. Have kickass weapons. My gt is Crazy-Jack_74

I like to whisper into peoples mics and speak in a soft but creepy voice and wait to see there reaction but if they mess up I say it in a very sexual voice and scare the shit out of them never serious
-
You're obviously bad though
-
Shut up Meg!
-
People like that get an instant boot. No salt in my raids, we're here for fun.
-
3-4 deaths is one thing, 7-10 means you aren't skilled enough. If this is you then do the raid a favor and leave. Oryx hard is the worst fight in destiny thus far and no raid team needs someone bringing them down.
-
I left a group earlier today because 2 of them just kept bashing a kid in our group that was making mistakes. They booted him and someone else was brought in, that person struggled the first run and they immediately started in on him. I told them to stop being asses, they didn't so I left. There's no need for being asshats. People have to learn and may make some mistakes. Show them some patience and most will get it.

I got into a game with this British guy the day hard came out, he had beat it already and I didn't understand what was going on (I picked it up however). Every death he would rage and swear and yell at the top of his lungs and it was just so fcking annoying. Then he crossed paths with me (his fault btw) when we were running from the bombs, got me killed, said I sucked, took three mates he was in the game with and rage quit. True definition of dickhead

I'm lucky enough to have a clan of nice people who don't do that
-
I can understand a small amount of requirements for a raid. Like being able to shoot a gun properly, and being a good light level. Just spent about 3 hours killing oryx. (no hate on my team, they were great people) If everyone was on their game it would have taken maybe 1 hour. Elitism that filters out the weak is good. But the kind that filters out the good, and only leaves the perfect is bad.
-
It is pretty sad when people can't even stagger oryx though
-
Just find another. If its not fun then its not worth playing. Its a game.
-
Ya. Jerks man. Its just a game, Damn, I just leave.
-
If you're the only one dying in my raid and it's more then 3 times I will yell at you.
-
That's why I only raid with my friends
-
Best thing is to join a clan so you will always do anything with them and no need to worry about LFG anymore
-
I know the feels bro. Im still waiting to get my first run thru finished. Ya know how hard it is to find a whole FIVE people to carry you cause almost every group you join are elitist? ?!! Smh
