I have never experienced this and im sorry for all the guardians who have had this bad experience... its sad becauae for me part of the game is to help others so they can hopefully help more people and so on. For example when im trying to explain the raid and someone dies or is struggling with something, ill ask them what is killing them and give them constructive criticism in order to help them get better. For example we were running hard oryx and one guy kept dying on the platform and we would wipe and everytime we asked what happened all we heard was silence (even though i knew who was dying all the time). So i said: "look, not pointing fingers but who is dying each time?" He finally spoke up but sounded terrified. I just said okay, whats killing you? It turns out he was struggling with dropping the ogre and then killing his night while looking out for the acolytes eye (which is a lot to look out for at first). So instead of yelling at him or making fun of him, i told him i would take out the acolytes and the knight for him from middle. Sure enough a couple runs later we beat the raid (and he was eventually able to kill his ogre and knight) and he apologized and explained that noone ever helped him and instead just called him useless and booted him. It was sad but made me happy to know that i helped him and hopefully he will have better gaming experiences from now on. Sorry for the long comment, i just felt like sharing because players in this community are so selfish and rude sometimes and it ahouldnt be that way.

  • Good for you. I've been 'That Guy' that screws up and been berated for it. Now i ensure i got time to spare (3 Hours is my current marker) Then i find new raiders on teamfinder with a '295 light and up' being the only requirement. It's never boring, and you can see the team gelling and grinding forward with every wipe. If we complete it, it FEELS like we fought our way through.. A much better experience than a clockwork, on point, robot, run through. And, it always plays different without a regular team, roles mix up and we learn more. I like to teach what i know and have been called "The most patient guy i ever met" in more than one raid, when I've somehow found myself in charge. But then again; I'm not an elitist bellend who thinks the Raid is Actual Life and Death. Kudos to you buddy.

  • Good job. Too many of these elitest forget that they weren't always that way. There was a time we all needed a little help.

  • Exactly, i guarantee they werent born able to run relic of sword flawlessly and it took me a couple weeks to master kings fall. Like, its only been a month, hard mode only for a week, it takes time to learn.

  • Good stuff man, I hate theses elitists that get mad at every little mistake, complain, then leave. I understand raids are difficult, and I'm always try to help those who are struggling. This community needs a lot more people like you who gets it. Keep up the good work man, and if you ever get an Xbox one holler at me

The main reason some of us don't even bother. I've done a few(just crota) , but listening how some were treated just leaves a bad taste. If a person doesn't cooperate fine.. Kick. If a person really doesn't understand, give them a chance to figure it out.

  • Yes, exactly! I have never kicked anyone but i have left teams because of people who wouldnt cooperate. I will always help people who are willing to be helped.

  • Thanks, there are a few good guardians out there lol. Instead lf criticizing people we can aak them what theyre struggling with and work as a team to figure it out. There are 6 people in a raid, not just one peraon doing their individual job.

  • Well all i can remember is playing vault of glass a year ago and getting teleported at atheon and having no clue what to do. I grabbed the relic and got destroyed by a minotaur. The guys i was with laughed (not at me but with me cuz i messed up so bad). They took the time to explain and since then ive passed it on. We were all noobs once and now that im way more skilled i can help others and hopefully they return the kindness.

  • Same, these elitist asses don't remember their roots man. I'm always willing to teach any guardian during a raid, or even a strike if they need it. It takes little time to explain and the payout is way better, they're happy cuz they know and after a few tries bam, they got it down. I remember fumbling around at the confuxes, even now I still suck at relic holding but hey, everyone sucked at some point, gotta learn.

  • I had a similar experience my first run in the Vault. Until King's Fall happened, I'd never run into any of the people of the type OP is struggling with.

  • Oh man crotas end was bad though. Swordbearers getting pissed at people because of what weapon they fired at crota or because they got killed by a knight. When i ran sword i was always patient and offered advice lol. Of course i can understand getting a little frustrated after an hour or two on one boss lol. But at that loint its time to find a new team and move on.

  • Now that you mention it I do remember relic holder/sword bearer issues. I just stayed away from those roles. Lol. But King's Fall has bred, in my opinion, the greatest amount of impatience thus far.
