The following applies to both online and IRL social interaction:
I am 18. I HATE 90% of people my age or younger. The generation I was born in is a total disgrace to humanity as a whole, and I am ashamed to be a part of it. I prefer to hang out with people much older than me, because most of them aren't total idiots. When I come across one that is a total idiot, I boot them, too. I don't care how old you are, I just don't talk to idiots.
However, the discrimination against kids online usually doesn't have anything to do with that. There are a few crappy excuses that are often thrown around.
Voice? Age has nothing to do with that. My voice sucks.
Maturity? I've met a select few people who are younger than me, but much more mature. Rare, but possible.
Volume? Literally the easiest thing to fix. Talk more quietly. This fix works for all ages.
Tl;Dr - Just -blam!-ing read it. It isn't hard.

I'm 15 but trust me I don't like our generation either. I just watched forest gump and cried. I'm not ashamed. My friends can make fun of me but I know their thought process and its the same as a 10 year old. I hate this generation most of all because the music. Some of it isn't bad, in fact I enjoy listening to folk/coffee shop music. But kids always turn on like this weird rap with a high pitched black dude using auto tune and it just hurts my ears.

Please never refer to rap as music again. I can feel my brain cells commiting mass suicide every time someone turns it on and acts "swaggy." But hey, at least you seem to get it. +1 to you.

I'm not a fan of rap, and I'm someone who can see just about the good in everything. I like all kinds of music, movies, games, maybe even people
