I can deal with 1, maybe 2. Had to leave a group of 5 squeakers a few weeks ago after developing a headache after about 30 seconds. Age restrictions should matter though. You might not understand the consequences of having people under the age restrictions. Unfortunately it's the case where parents will buy kids a game that they are too young for, kid shoots people and the game is blamed for being violent when the parent is the one at fault. Also it affects learning curves when kids (or I guess anyone really and that also goes for my last point but people pay more attention when it's kids), complain everything is too hard or whatever, so the difficulty gets nerfed and becomes boring for other people.

  • If a kid plays a shooter and then shoots somebody else that kid Is a moron with bad parents. When I was 12 I played call of duty I've never killed somebody.

  • Yeah I played CS since I was like 10. And you're right, the problem is that the people that get blamed are the game developers. GTA is the one that gets the most heat. It's like, 14 year old shoots up a school after violent video games. And then everyone just blames them and ignore that they were under age. But the thing is as well, if it's ok for my mum to buy my 14 year old brother GTA 5, is it ok for me to buy him cigarettes and alcohol? Same age restriction (in the UK at least)

  • Cigarettes and alcohol are dangerous for your health. A video game isn't. I personally disagree with kids playing GTA because it's a really bad game, bad as in nudity, drug use, violence, etc. But I'm ok with them playing destiny, as long as they aren't annoying. I don't really think the rating is justified. Compare destiny to a 14a movie. 14a movies are much much worse. I live in Canada, so 14a might be different in UK. It's 14yo and up to see a movie.
