Except, their numbers (at least WoW) have been steadily declining and then show a massive boost when they release a new expansion.
So technically, yes he's right to an extent

And I guarantee there are people out there (Plenty documented) who spent a decade of their life on those games, playing for hours each day... So no, "technically" he isn't right. Ambiguity for the win.
