Yes, Goku could beat just about everything Destiny could throw at him.
It would take a very long time though.
When he finally gets to the end of the road he runs into 2 problems.
Atheon and Oryx.
I can't speak for King's Fall as I haven't completed it yet.
So how do the guardians defeat Atheon? Their ability to use light as a weapon.
Goku also has no knowledge of how the Oracles and the Gorgans work.
-The Oracles can destroy him and any recollection of his existance.
-The Gorgans can deem his reality false. Thus making him as though he never existed.
-He can't use the relic (he can't use light as a weapon) so he has no way to defeat the Templar.
-When he gets to Atheon, he can get strewn into the far corners of time. No one is there to help him. (Technically he couldn't even get to Atheon, as he can't use the relic, but shhhh....)
I am still chalking this up as a win for Goku seeing as he would have still been able to destroy about 99.99% of everything.

Edited by Totembreaker86: 10/28/2015 9:24:34 PMGoku's power is light if you remember the fight with Yakon at the beginning of the Buu saga. The gorgons would never be able to channel fast enough. For everything else there's instant transmission, lock on to Atheon teleport right to him. I vote Goku.
-
I still consider Goku the winner. But Yakon could eat the light output (photons) and Ki energy emanating from Goku. So not really the same thing. Don't confuse a Guardian's "Light" with the light we to see.
-
I disagree with the point stating he couldn't use light as a weapon. The spirit bomb gathered energy from all sources including the sun. Solar flare is also a use of the literal light. Not to mention huge damage buffs from kaio ken and super saiyan power increases. :)
-
See, don't equivocate "Light" with other forms of light as we know it. The Guardians energy known as "Light" has a tangible and physical aspect to it. It is apparent it isn't just photons and electromagnetic waves. A solar flare is superheated material and radiation. Since people don't get sick by hanging with guardians (as far as we know) then it isn't radiation either. So the "Light" from Guardians is different.
-
Thats a good point and I agree to a degree. The light of the guardians is manifest in elemental energy though. Goku's capacity to facilitate multiple energy sources for one attack would indicate, in my supposition, a similar if not the same use of energy. I think its somewhat a matter of semantics.
-
Could be. We only have our best guesses to work with. The struggle is they both use unique forms of energy to accomplish their goal, Light vs Ki, and we have no direct comparison.

Edited by gistoffski: 10/28/2015 9:01:09 PMSpirit bomb It's the "goodness" so in a sense it's light
-
Light, in Destiny isn't inherently goodness. If you haven't noticed, the Traveler is kind of a dick. It uses civilizations to fight it's enemy then runs away if there is a chance of losing. They call it Light for its appearance. Not because it's "good".
-
Well now that it think about it we don't know wtf light is What is light anyway?
-
Edited by Mr Ilax: 10/28/2015 9:20:06 PMHell if I know. But it seems so be a form of energy or particle that can readily be changed back and forth between Light and Darkness. Both of which seem to be able to grant both life sustaining and destructive powers.
-
And then he gets revived with dragon balls
-
This is a fight of Goku vs Destiny (heh) not Goku and his friend with DragonBalls vs Destiny.
-
Goku still wins
