My boyfriend played WOW from first year pre-dlc. He's been making the same prediction.
Micro transactions will start with cosmetic only, then they will start selling items that boost xp, gear, etc. The purchases won't be mandatory- you can choose to grind for it instead but it'll be a long, slow grind.
It's what ruined WOW for him. In the end you'll start to feel like you have to make these purchases to keep up- 8 hours of grinding vs a couple of dollars and it's done.
Some of us won't be surprised when we start seeing items sold by Tess that have nothing to do with ridiculous dance moves and gestures.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I mean do people really still believe anything that comes out of Luke Smith's mouth.

One thing he said is true. Some people saw the new emotes and threw their money at the screen. The very first day of "festival of the lost" I saw plenty of guardians displaying the new dances and that dumb "boo!" emote. Other than that it's all pr bullsh*t.

I agree. If Activungie would be more transparent with the future of destiny I think it would help their credibility for the future, but as long as Activungie stays shady with their intentions I feel it's only going to hurt any future titles in Destiny.
