Shotgun followed by punch. Fusion rifle followed by punch. Easy counters that don't take too much skill, require heavy ammo, or your own super. Try to get behind them and then punch. Also jumping helps. Don't be afraid to rush into the stormtrance. You may get hit but if you're fast with the shotgun and punch combo then you should live. It is powerful, but definitely not unstoppable.
