BIG EDIT: Dont forget to press the up arrow if you like this because thats what Bungie looks at, and a lot of haters be pressin the down. dont let them control this thread.
Many people just want to play raids for the six member experience. So how about an easier version of the raids, with dumbed down puzzles but throw more enemies at them. For instance:
VoG - players only have to defend one conflux each time. Center, left then right. The templar has no shields. Make gorgons easier to kill and dont get stronger. Have the jumping platforms already out. And no gate keeper or oracles while fighting aetheon
With these changes:
Now you can add matchmaking and take out the exotic chest and and make it one nightfall drop after beating it and keep playtime incentive for veteran raiders like me. Hopefully im not in minority here
I bring this up because one of my friends FINALLY did VoG because he never had time before and he only had time now cause we were all high lvl and we could breeze through it. IT WAS A BLAST : ) and he loved it. VoG is also my favorite and i love running it still.
Edit: The reason they should do this to raids instead of just make more six player activities (albeit that would be greatly appreciated) is because the raids are part of the story. There's a big difference between six players in the court of Oryx and six players adventuring <--(key word) into the amazing and wonder inspiring level design of the Vault of Glass. People want to experience the story and wonder of one of Bungie's greatest accomplishments with this game.
Edit: Gettin a lot of senseless hate for this thread. So I'll just say - BRING IT! I'll take you all on!!!!
Edit: This is not to dumb down normal and hard versions of the raids. Its an easy(er) version that can allow for in game matchmaking just for people who want to complete the game they paid for and experience six player combat, but dont really care for end game loot or having a "real" challenge that people cite as a reason for no matchmaking.
I have in fact accomplished every undertaking that i cared to do in this game, raid, crucible and otherwise, legitimately. So this is not for me because i cant finish what i start. This is for my friends and the community as a whole whose voices dont get heard on this forum.

Edited by AshKatana: 10/30/2015 4:58:46 PMActually, an easier "Training Level" match-made version would accomplish many things: It would get players who normally would never raid used to the raid mechanics, so that if/when faced with a real raid, they'd have a better understanding of what was required, and why there were minimum requirements. It would expose players to some of the fun things generally found in raids that aren't available elsewhere, and let them get used to the coordination required by a 6-man team. It would allow players to practice certain mechanics without getting hazed badly by elites who are raiding for loot and don't want to waste any time getting "the job" done. This game could benefit from a Training Level for PVP as well - let people learn the maps, learn the strategies., and possibly reduce the ridiculous number of weapon nerfs that so adversely affect PvE. PS. You might have better responses if instead of "Nerfed" Raid, you used "Training-Level" Raid.
