1 day = 24 hours
2 x 24 hours = 48 hours
2 days = 48 hours
365 x 24 hours = 8760 hours
8760 hours / 3000 hours = 2.92 hours
But also, 3000 = 125 days
365/125 = 2.92
I play a lot of destiny, but there's no way it's 7 hours per day. I had an original account that had over 1100 hours and my current account has over 1800 hours.

Hmm...the math is still wrong though. I know you get 2.92 both ways when you do it but it's hours per day that we're trying to calculate, so we have to divide total hours played by total days since release (or 365 in this case). Though I'm not going to go on with this because I'm going to bed and don't want to annoy you any further lol.
Just as a final example: if I have 365 hours played, and a game has been out for 365 days, that's 1 hour a day right? 365 hours/365 days = 1 hr/day. Again, sorry, but I had to
Keep it wacked :)

Edited by Some Hostility: 10/31/2015 6:17:46 AMThat math doesn't make any sense though because anything divided by itself will equal 1... I don't know I stared at my math for a good minute because it legit confused me lol There was an edit here but I've now confused myself and my boyfriend beyond any help. Lol

Edited by Spiderwing31: 10/31/2015 2:45:23 PMOk, we're trying to find how many hours someone has played per day right? If I play 21 hours of destiny in 7 days (one week), then we have to find hours/day. Hours/day literally means hours divided by days, so 21 hours divided by 7 days equals 3 hours per day. The way you're doing it is wrong because you're multiplying the days you've played by 24, then dividing it by hours played which is wrong. If we did it your way, it would be 7 times 24, which equals 168, then 168 hours divided by 21 hours is 8. This 8 is just like the 2.92 that you got, it doesn't make sense right? Because if I played 8 hours per day for 7 days, that's 56 hours, which doesn't work since my given value was 21. I hope I was clear enough, don't want to make you do math on a Saturday lol. :)

I was just using a year for the days played, that's how I got 365 days. It just seems simpler to convert that into hours first but I haven't taken math in like 4 years so it's no mystery as to why I'm confused lol I guess I've been AFC more than I thought because there's been a couple times where I didn't play destiny for days (forever right? Lmao). Thanks for trying to help! In hopeless thigh D,:

I know that, but the thing is you can't convert days to hours, gotta keep them as they are. Anyway, here's a site that tells you how much you've actually played the game, rather than how Xbox counts how long it's been running. http://wastedondestiny.com

I know that 2 hours a day for a year is only like 730 ish. So yeah.
