It doesn't matter whether or not he's a god, he has no light. You can't pick and choose which pieces of lore matter when comparing two things that can't be compared fairly and logically. You have to use each set of lore in its entirety or use none at all. The oracles and Gorgons are the most powerful entities in the entire universe, but only inside the vault of glass. If Goku goes into the vault, he is subject to their will, regardless of how much of a children's story protagonist he is.
