Chapter 2-Legend
Aerile was still unconscious and hadn't grown an inch. The Baron was about to give up and declare her as dead. He picked the child up gently and walked to the lower part of the ketch. “… and walked to the lower part of the ketch and entered her mother's cell.
"Evalyne" Tenvorock whispered.
Evalyne turned her head towards him and Tenvorock held the limp vandal out to her.
"She won't wake up..."
Evalyne pulled Aer to her chest, she cradled the vandal. Evalyne whispered to Aer quietly, after awhile she sung to Aer.
Let your arms and hold us, through the dark of night...with your angels hold us...till we see the light..."
Evalyne went quiet and somber, holding Aer tightly. Tenvorock stood idly by, not moving or talking. Had he killed his daughter? Just then, Aer's eyes flicked open and she stared at her mother kindly.
"Mommy?" Aer squeaked out.
Evalyne gasped and held Aer as close as she could to herself. Aer looked confused, she looked from mother to father. Her mother and father shared their hold on Aer for a long moment. Tenvorock pulled Aer away from Evalyne, Aerile went limp again. Tenvorock doesn't notice and brings Aer back to her old nurture room. Thinking Aer was tired, he placed her in a small bed. He winded up a music box he stole from Old Russia, Aer's eyes flickered open.
Shh...Sleep Light" The Baron hushed.
The vandal tilted her head, she propped herself up and looked at the music box.
“What's that?" She questioned.
“Music" The Baron said.
Aer laid back down as she stared at the roof and relaxed. Tenvorock left her and went to his sleeping quarters. After the stars had shown their light a bright light stepped to Aer's bed. Aer looked toward the light and saw that it was her mother, dressed in glowing white robes.
"Aerile" Her mother started, her voice resounding "I bestow upon you adolescence"
She gently touched Aer's head and Aer glowed lightly.
"Aer, you are to become something great in the future, do not let anything tell you otherwise'
Evalyne held her four hands up. They were standing amongst the stars. The lights floated about. Aer stared in awe as her mother collected the stars into a small orb. Evalyne held the orb to Aer's head and Aerile's eyes twinkled with the galaxies.
"These stars are yours; you can look at the outcomes of other's lives and actions. But not your own"
They were back in the nurture room; Evalyne hugged Aerile gently and set her back in bed.
"Come see me again once you remember everything that happened, after that, join me on Pluto when the first snow happens"
Aer hugged Evalyne tightly until she dissipated into gold flecks, which etched white marks on her jaw and cheeks. Aer sat in bed, taking in everything that happened. The lights of the ketch seemed to put her in a trance and she fell asleep sitting up.
Tenvorock found Aer sleeping oddly next morning and picked her up. She twitched awake.
“What? No, no, put me down, stop!" She squeaked out in fluent Eliksni.
"Wait...you can talk now?" Tenvorock asked in disbelief.
"Yes! Now put me down so I can see the pretty lights!"
“No I need to feed you"
The Baron dragged her to the arc pool.
"No this stuff hurts... I don't like it" Aer complained.
“Well, it's what our kind eats so, too bad"
Tenvorock lied; he scooped a cup of the arc liquid and gave it to her
"Drink" He demanded
"No" Aer said defiantly
"Now”
"I don't wanna, it tastes bad and hurts!"
"NOW!” Tenvorock shouted, shoving the liquid down her throat. Aer yelped and trembled squealing in pain. An Overlooker overheard the conversation and demanded with a booming voice;
"Step forward"
Aer was still throwing a fit and was about to walk out, when Tenvorock snatched her and dragged her to the nurture room.
"Are you an idiot?!" The Baron scolded.
"What's an idiot?" Aer asked, tilting her head.
Tenvorock smacked himself in the face and groaned.
"Never obey an Overlooker, those things will rip you in half and eat you!" The Baron warned, Aerile whimpered and curled up at the threat.
"It's alright light, you're safe now"
Aerile still held herself and whispered.
“I'm not safe till I'm with Mom..."
For months the Baron continued to force Aer to drink the awful liquid. She developed a disease from the consumption of unwafted ether. She stayed the size of an infant. She was imprisoned and No one could see it. Not even her.

That bastard...
-
Wait, so does the Baron not know how to feed Aerile, or is he trying to defy the prophecy; is he jealous that Aerile is more important than him, so he's trying to stop Aerile from growing?
-
8/10, fallen grow by breathing ether.
-
That was really good.
-
Good job very descriptive, so is aerile a creature of darkness or one of light?
-
Yes finally!
now where's part three?
