Hello folks, I'm back with a second wave of weapon ideas. This time for Tex and a convincing sidearm.
Many people post now a days waiting for their weapons to be realized into the real game, but posting vague ideas seems counterproductive in my eyes. Now here's a little story all about how Tex got their life turned upside down.
Amanda Holiday hits you up for another exotic quest, this time the most extensive. The foundry Tex Mechanica has heard their reviews on their weapons and are very disappointed in themselves. "How could we give guardians guns that perform sub par to what they are suppose to be doing. Our leaver/hammer action guns aren't just for style, they are for function too."
Amanda gives you the first part of the quest, starting back to Tex's roots with "The Last Word", giving you a quest for renown in any area you choose. Pvp kills give you the most experience, while PvE kills give you the least, especially Patrol. After hitting 100% she gives you step two.
Step two consists of getting renown with "The First Curse", same way as you did with "The Last Word."
Part three is the Chaperone with, you guessed it, renown.
Part 4 takes the quest off the beaten road. There's two parts to this quest. Part one requires you to fill a capsule with the death essence of Crotas soul. Fun huh? All while gaining a minimum of 30 kills with sidearms. Part two requires you to find the route of Paradox where it takes you through the vex portal at the end and fight of the "Future Blight" filling it up with taken energy, all while you having to get at least 50 sidearm kills in this mission.
Part 5 leads you back to Amanda, which says the order needs to be put in by Banshee. Thus you do, along with the Essence of Dark, Taken, and with 20 motes of light he sends the order out, and wont be back till next reset into arms day. (Could all be done on a Tuesday)
Part 6 is arms day, a nice present of two individual sidearms. Tex, fearing that it might collapse on them, didn't want to infuse the guns with the energies of Crota and Oryx at their foundry, tasked you with infusing each one of the light infused sidearms with a different energy.
Part 7 what better place to infuse two very unstable energies than the court of Oryx. While taking damage from the court's green stuff, infuse both the guns with the energy and there you have Ebony and Ivory an exotic special weapon.
Ebony and Ivory
Impact, low/moderate
Range, extremely low
Rate of fire, Maxed.
Stability, Invalid.
Ammo, 15 in each sidearm.
Special Perk- Iron sights? Never met her. (No aim down sights, forced hip fire 24/7)
First exotic perk- I have given
Every damage outside of its effective range given to enemy increases its effective range until the magazines are emptied.
Second exotic perk- I shall taken
When fired upon a shielded opponent, if the opponent "RESISTS" the damage, the guns automatically attune themselves to that element until the magazines are emptied. (I say resist as though resist pops up on your screen instead of a number)
Highly unimpressed with their work, Tex tasked you with helping make this a reality, because obviously they couldn't do it on their own. Hip fire was made famous by cowboys, but mastered by guardians. These two pistols come with a shinned bronze etched into the sides of the gun, one has a nice gooey green glow wafting off of it, the other a resemblance to "Taken" enemies. Apart, these sidearms would implode and kill the user quite effectively. Together with your light, you kill and implode the enemy quite effectively.
