Nova simply stands there, watching as he received the punishment he lond deserved

After a while, the crowd either felt like he had gotten what he had coming or they ran out of stuff to throw, stop throwing things. He looks around at them. "I'm sorry about all the people I took. I'm sorry about all the things I took. I'm sorry, for everything." Dean starts to stir behind Nova.
-
She notices, and rolls her eyes as he stands up
-
Dean steps up, grabbing the axe and lighting it. The weapon alone made him look small, tiny, worthless. It glowed red and prominent. Python watched him. Dean spoke up, in front of the group. "You killed an officer. A champion. A friend. Of everyone here. Her death won't go unanswered." "What's her name?" "Jupiter Tanner." "Wait....I've seen that name before. One sec...." Python starts digging into Nova's files, even the ones that are hidden from her. One reveals who's consciousness controls Nova. "Your....friend. She's not dead. In fact, she's right behind you." Dean turns, a suprised but confused look on his face. "That's her....now at least. Pretty much the same thing happened to me." Python turns his attention to Nova. "What's your name, AI? What do they call you now?"
-
"Nova, Warframe and Tactical Coordinator AI I also tend to the needs of the ship and its people" She looks confused
-
"Yeah, well you're Private Jupiter Tanner. The subject of operation Jupiter Rising." Dean looks back and forth between to two, confused.
-
"No, how is that possible if she died a week before my creation?"
-
"Stasis. My operation took a month...."
-
"But...? How..." She searches into the subject herself, as she denied it further "This is impossible"
-
"Think about it, she's the only death in the records you're denied access to." He watches as soldiers around make the comnection. Dean stares at her, confused. "Jupiter...?"
-
Python sensed it, her "mind" was in turmoil They each stared at her, the soldiers gave her a blank stare as well And then a failsafe kicked in, as she abruptly fell to her knees, and then to the floor as she went into an emergency shutdown sequence
-
Dean rushed to her side, supporting her, he helped her up. Python stood there, metallic skin shinning in the light. "She's most likely gone into a lock down. Give it some time."
-
She remained that way, until General Hill himself and a team of scientists rush into the clearing, and he looks between Python, Dean, and Nova on the ground "Fools! The hell did you do to her!?"
-
"I told her the truth..." Python towers over Hill. Dean helps the scientists carry Nova/Jupiter away.
-
Hill stays behind, motioning for a scientist to explain it to Dean as well "You could have killed her, again In order for her conscious to still exist, we needed to wipe her clean, clear out her memories If that barrier between mind and machine is broken, like you just did, it would drive her to rampancy because she goes against logic itself She's Jupiter, but not the one we know Nova is what she is now, at least then some of her cheery personality would still be with us, in the form of an AI" He sighs, rubbing his temples "I programmed her with an emergency shutdown as a fail safe When she wakes, god have mercy if she does, she won't remember any of what you told her If her mind overrides the AI portion of her, it will cause her to go into rampancy, and the Jupiter we know and love will turn on us"
-
"She doesn't deserve this. Why are you dragging out her death?" Dean eyed the Hill. Python spoke up. "Because they're scared. Scared of death. They tried to recreate what happened to me, all those years ago, and they failed. See, I defy your little 'logic' and know what I was like when I wasn't a damn machine."
-
He sighs "Yes, it was a test, no, we didn't know it would last this long After a week of her being active, it seemed it would never happen Until you showed, but please, if you can be oh so gracious and tell us how to recreate what happened to you, it would help"
-
"You need to let her know. Let her go crazy. She needs to find out. I had a rampage when I found out....it was bloody but it was manageable. Her's will be too."
-
"If we do that, we have no where to take her, which is the problem Unless we keep her confined, but I don't think that will help"
-
"I could talk her through it. Keep her calm. But you'd wanna disconnect her from the ship for that."
-
He thinks it through, but nonetheless agrees "Alright Don't poull anything stupid, I put more money into her than this whole damn ship combined" He leads Python to the tech room
-
He follows, hanging the axe on his hip. The soldiers eyed him but allowed him past.
-
Eventually they reach the room, and go through a door inside leading into a room, where Nova lay on a table Scientists parted, making way for Hill as he activates a manual override, and looks to Python "She's all yours..." Hill and co. leave the room
-
Python checks around to be sure that no one else is in the room, for their safety. He speaks, a calm demeanor. "Nova? Are you awake? Do you want me to call you that?"
-
She wakes slowly, he could see it in her eyes The war she waged against herself...
end here, new post tomarrow
