If they took aim assist out, you will still be getting sniped and you will cry if they took aim assist out of the whole game. You will then cry for it to be put back because you will be missing your shots with your shotguns. Soo... Git gud scrub.? Also everyone is only crying about 1000 yard stare because it's the popular choice. Why? because we ALL got the Taken War quest to obtain it. Bad players will continue to cry nerf instead of getting gud.. Scrub

7 RepliesThere are atleast 4 snipers with more aim assist in Taken King. The IB sniper has 79.. Wait till you see some trick shots in crucible with that. Also 1000 yard has nothing on shadow of veils. That thing was broken.

Aim assist doesnt change the hitbox. It only allows you to "stick" the reticle on them as you move the sights across their head. So yes it makes moving and shooting easier. But it doesnt give a garunteed you a headshot nor can it instantly make you a good sniper.

Are you a really good sniper? At least get 1 snipe a game? 70%+ for headshots with a sniper? Are you a developer? Do you set aim assistance values & other game mechanics? I'll take a bet that you're not. So you're making your assumptions about how snipers in this game should work based on what, I genuinely would love to know. -

Just as easy as it was in halo 3, snipers need to have a huuuge kick like icebreaker, and less rate of fire. Anyone defending snipers, cmon admit it. We all know it's easy to snipe in this game. Not as easy as sniping people with a felwinters but just a couple steps above that

7 RepliesEdited by An Actual Noob: 11/5/2015 2:24:51 PMlol its this thread again, if aim assist was really the reason people use a 1000yrd stare then explain me this, why does nobody use Hereafter/antinomy xvi? both have way higher aimassist stats and all of you retards claim the sole reason people use the 1000 yard is because of its aimassist, certainly isnt because the story just gives you one that its used very often, right? what aimassist actually means is that it slows down the reticle once its on a target, it doesnt aim for you, its not bullet magnetism and certainly theres a difference being sniped as a do or die method than being baited into getting sniped by some hardscoper on the other side of the door. most of you sheeple dont even know the difference between any of this because you're simply bad at the game but because some moron just spouted out that theres aim assist on a sniper all you people just think its something that it isnt. newsflash, aimassist is on every -blam!-ing weapon in the game and it has been like that since the launch of the game, you simply cannot play a console fps without it, any console game that says that you can turn it off only turns a small part of it off, if you cant deal with that fact then you might aswel quit console fps all together and go play on the pc instead where theres no aimassist. aimassist wasnt a problem pre-2.0, but somehow it is now when in fact nothing was changed to snipers other than them having damage dropoff

the only time when Aim Assist helps is when you are sweep/drag-sniping, which is pretty difficult as is there's no such thing as [i]magnetic bullets[/i]
