I suggest OP invest in using cover, flanking hardscopers , using his primary and bullet flinch, safely closing the distance, crouching to minimise radar. Once you master these skills (known as "The Basics") you too can again shotgun rush and shove your Conspiracy Theory December up a snipers ass. You too can have a positive K/D. And you too can stop whining. Not a PvP sniper, but there is no problem with a Sniper shooting you in the head and killing you quickly. I run a shotgun in PvP and they still work. They still work at a good distance. They still one shot. If you are getting sniped before you are in optimal range for your weapons then that is your fault.

You only see so many of them because literally everyone has one and you can roll the old scopes that everyone is used to. The only other 31+ impact snipers are Stillpiercer, Eirene RR4, and Black Spindle. If you're using anything in Trials with less impact then you're doing it wrong. Honestly I'd say the same for regular crucible if you want to actually be able to snipe anyone out of their super. Stillpiercer isn't as common because it's Hunter only and has a locked scope. Black Spindle takes up an exotic slot and has a locked scope. Eirene was only sold once, so not everyone has one. Also, fyi... 1k-yard stare has 56 AA. Which is lower than commonly used Y1 snipers. With an Ambush scope (which I use) it has 41 AA which is nearly the same as Black Spindle. Also, AA only increases the slowing effect you get when dragging your scope over an enemy. It doesn't increase hitbox sizes or bullet magnetism. Stop making up excuses for playing poorly.

Negative kd shotgun only user with basically one character. It's always the scrubs that make an anti sniper post. The only anti sniper posts that were legit was when efrideets with final round being abused like hell, but aside from dumbass eirene with luck in the chamber, the ohk body shot sniping is done. Only the scrubbiest of snipers want a weapon that kills on a body shot. Eewwwwww

1 ReplyThere are a multitude of snipers in game with a higher aim assist than 1000 yard. It just gets the most play because it can rez snipe and is very easy to acquire (taken war earth) with a good roll. I wouldn't call it overpowered, you just see it because it is more accessible.

The vast majority of people use 1000 yard because it has nice scope options for pvp, ie close range.

1 ReplyIts not OP, it's just the only option for most. Most people would agree that the impact is in the sweet spot. There just aren't many options. The only other one in the sweet spot is the Stillpiercer, which is a Hunter exclusive. In year one, we had the LDR, Benevolence, Longbow, and the Shadow of Veils. If you aren't a Hunter, you only have one option, compared to 4 in year 1.

18 Replies1. 11000+ shotgun kills. 2. Barely ever touched a sniper rifle of any kind. Conclusion: OP is salty because he cant run into open lanes and get free kills anymore without getting his dome split open. Remedy: Dismantle shotgun, learn to counter-snipe. Not trying to be a jerk but get with the times. As long as you keep rushing around like your shotgun is a primary, I will be waiting for you with a scope on your forehead.

There's other snipers with higher aim assist. It's just a popular sniper.
