One thing that constantly annoys me about these types of post is comparing a persistent online game to other offline game types.
The constant 'Bungie' is tying get your money and make you grind longer - Really? Cos actually the more we play the more wecost Bungie money and reduce there profit margins. The need to produce additional paid for content is is there because there is a bunch of servers sitting around to support the millions of players that online all of the time. Not the case for many of the other games out there which have a very similar entrance price.
I had a lot more points I wanted to make, but I'm just too bored to try.
Simple decision - if you like the game, and are happy with how much it costs play it. If you don't like it, or don't wish to pay the costs - then don't.
Personally when I divide the money I've paid for Destiny by the hours I've played it I get a pretty decent $/Hour number and that is about the only way that I can calculate value when it comes to video games.
