The day a shit-ton of people left Destiny for a superior game that promises to not nerf everything to artificially extend its lifetime.

why do people compare destiny to other games? there isn't a console mmo-type game out except Destiny...I'm sure you will love fallout 4 or CoD or whatever you guys like but you know what will still have new content coming after these other games run dry? Destiny, and I bet after you are all done with the others, you will come back eventually...other game releases are not gonna kill destiny, y'all stop it with the nonsense... destiny may hit small dips here and there but it isn't going anywhere...we will still be here in 3 years when another group of people decide to post about how fallout 5 is gonna kill destiny lol...all those halo posts and halo did nothing to destiny

Destiny has no content right now. Bungie announced they won't have any this winter. Fallout 4 has a ton of replay value and a wealth of content to explore many different ways. A year from now, Bethesda will release a DLC to extend the content in the base game. In addition, Fallout 4 players get Fallout 3 for free and when backwards compatibility kicks in, Bethesda players will get 2 amazing games with a ton of hours of content for ONE price. THEN, after the F4 DLC has been released, the announcement for TES VI - Argonia will keep Beth players away from Destiny even more. Face it, Bethesda has over 25% of the player base from Destiny leaving for their games - for at least the next 3-4 years. Destiny is dying to bad decisions made by Bungie/Activision and the franchise will suffer for it.

I can't wait for fallout 4! However comparing these two games is like apples and oranges. One is a co-op shared world shooter and the other is a single player FPSRPG. Pretty dang different from a development and player perspective. Destiny can't scratch the itch that fallout does and Fallout can't scratch the itch that Destiny does. Some players will leave for a bit but most will be back.

Bethesda isn't going to time-gate my Hunting Rifle or nerf my Plasma Rifle. On top of that, the leaked perks/attribute bonuses encourage a player's dedicated playstyle. Even more, Fallout 4 has tons of replay value (as all beth games do) and Fallout 4 won't lock me out of playing the game/ making progression until some arbitrary day in the middle of the work week... >_>

you can only speak for yourself, many people will come back because of the nature of continuous content for years...other games will have a finite amount of content and dlc...there is nothing wrong with picking up and playing other games but more of people are gonna look like hypocrites when they have had a good break and realize they miss it and come back later

Nerfing in a single player only game is pretty rare so your argument there is quite weak. Also, you have nearly 800 hours put in this game so your whining about value is also quite ridiculous. Some will leave for good, some won't. I truly hope most of the entitled cry babies leave for good though.

agreed and its stupid to argue with these people...whether its age, maturity lagging behind their age, or whatever, living in the moment right this second is all people seem to do anymore...give it a couple months and let's see how many of these people never come back...maybe a few but I bet 90% come back after they are done with holiday releases

True. I think a lot of it is age. I remember a thread a while back that asked who was over 30. A lot of comments on the thread and almost zero asshats lol. Oh heck yea I'm def gonna jam Fallout for a bit but I know I'll drift back to Destiny.
