I will say this... the fact that Y1 weapons are now irrelevant doesn't bother me much. I'm all for moving forward. Did I enjoy using Fatebringer and VoC? Yes. But that is all I ever used as a primary. Now because the Y1 guns are left behind, and the elemental damage has been removed from almost all primaries, I find myself using a much bigger mix and match of weapons which adds a level of diversity to the game that I am currently really enjoying.
