Ya, they were able to pay off that budget in the first day, but that doesnt mean it was done easily considering hundreds of thousands of people returned Destiny after seeing what the game was like.
They stated publicly in 2014 that the company has over 500 employees working for them and if you noticed, they are ramping up the amount of people they are hiring because guess what?! they care about making a good game happen despite the public opinion of failure of this game. There is a reason destiny got 6/10, 7/10 reviews, just like there is a reason this game has changed so much from the one delivered to us in late 2014.
How companies capitalize and monopolize is something you should decide if youre going to support or not, if you are at war with yourself over the morality of it. Find another hobby.
