I'm sorry but I'm not a mindless idiot. I know exactly how much money I want to spend on pointless entertainment and that's all I will spend. No one forced me to buy stupid emotes for my viewing pleasure. No one came to my home and threatened me with violence to buy silver on psn. I don't remember anyone from bungie or activision or Bethesda (well maybe Bethesda cause I work in that city hehe) commanding me to purchase the DLCs and pay money to a company.
I just ate some Panda Express. No one held me down and made me buy it. Can you guess why I bought Panda...?
CAUSE I LIKE TO EAT IT. Analogy for entertainment.
Now be a good boy and GFY.

Thing is, he's talking to the people that ARE mindless idiots. You know how many people said we'd be getting free DLC, and that therefore made buying emotes a "good" thing? Yeah, those are the idiots he's talking about. And on your DLC point...I would argue that Bungie did indeed "demand" that you buy TTK, in a way. They essentially strip half of your content out if you don't, including most of the PvP experience. In addition, all year one gear had their stats "nerfed" to where you can no longer have a full stat with Y1 gear if you tried. So imo, they really did force you to buy TTK, but the rest of your point stands. Buy stuff because you like it, go right ahead.
