Companies make much more money, and a loyal fanbase, by doing business the normal way. Having the original game broke up into $100+ dollars worth of DLC is going past "making money" and more into "scamming your customers". The OP tries to address that. He's also trying to warn that while the past cannot be changed, the future can. He's trying to say that Bungie/Activision won't stop here, and not to keep falling for some false promise. And having to buy new content to play your OLD content is another shitty business tactic that I haven't even seen done before except by Activision. You're right, though.
