Spindle is overrated. I prefer the TYS to the eirene, but that LitC helps with DPS.

its not overrated it has the most dps out of any gun right now

DPS is a term noobs throw out to act like they know what they're talking about. Spindle burns through ammo, and carries very little to start. So yeah, you're doing higher DPS. For about 5 seconds. Then you're scrounging for ammo or scrambling for a synth while everyone else keeps shooting. Overall damage > DPS.

I do 1000 less with TYS and still out dps any black spindle at golgoroth

BS. Not unless your TYS is higher light. There is no way any sniper can out damage spindle. Its not possible right now because black spindle does not have to reload like other snipers. Well other snipers are reloading the spindle is still DPSing.

No, but you are. Your light level is the thing that matters now, before it was weapon damage but not anymore.

Gun damage still matters along with your light level. Which is why year 1 guns suck so bad even though you can still be around light 290 with one equipped. Spindle is overrated though. People act like it is a necessity which it is def not, at any boss.

I think he meant impact. But I agree. With a reload perk like outlaw or spray and play, the higher fire rate of TYS can push a higher DPS than spindle. You just need the right perks.

Ok. It is a formula of both. When I would swap to year one weapons when curb stomping bad teams in trials they would bring me down to 296 light. But if I was a normal all 296 gear person then I would do probably 5-10 less per shot of a hand cannon let's say depending on the opponents light level. When using a 170 hand cannon it did 30 less damage.
