In Zone Control, capturing the zones is all that matters. Still, the scoreboard and Postgame Carnage is arranged after kills. The person with the most kills will always be on the top. An example is seen in the image. The player at the top of the scoreboard didn't capture a single zone but that person is still above me despite the fact that i had the highest amount of zones captured.
Kills give ZERO points in Zone Control so why place the player with the most kills at the top when it's not even the point of the game mode? It's the players that get out there and capture zones that lead their team to victory. They are the ones who should get the honor of being at the top of the scoreboard. A player who doesn't read the rules might get in a match, look at the scoreboard and think "hmm, i need to focus more on killing. I can't be here in the middle, i need to be on the top!" and ignore the whole point of Zone Control.
I also want to say thanks for giving us Zone Control. It is one of the few real objective based game modes in the crucible. Next, i would love a mutated version of Rift that turns into a real CTF mode and not just Clash with a potential score bonus. A mode where the only way to get points is by grabbing the spark, running with it and igniting the enemy rift. Each action would give you points and kills don't count.
