Less people on LFG, less topics on the forums, etc.

21 RepliesI find it humorous that when they said this about metal gear the desticles replied with optimism. Once again with halo 5 they proudly proclaimed that destiny would never die. Now black ops is here and they say "well, we can play more than one game". Guess what bitches, fallout is coming. And what little shred of Bungie loyalty anyone ever felt for this retarded grindfest will soon be forgotten. Destiny did very well when there weren't a lot of options for next gen games, now they have real competition for the first time. And with their track record for pissing off their fans, it won't take long for this game to die.

Now it's just a terrible grind, which is sad because this is a good game or even a great one at its heart. I don't like it, my friends don't like it. All the game is for me is: >Dailies/Weeklies/NF >Buy Gear (Xûr/Vendors) >Repeat I haven't even bothered with the raid because by reports, the grind for gear isn't great (shards). It's not fun anymore, and I have no drive to play. I haven't played for a few days and I don't want to really. I'm pretty much done. I can spend my time better on the Witcher or BF4 or Batman or Fallout. And why spend more money? I've put over $100 in to just end up disappointed. All there is for me is the social aspect, which is gone pretty much without my friends. I'll keep an eye on the game and play every now and then. If it gets better, I may pick it up again, but I doubt it will. It just makes me sad.

5 RepliesI would tend to agree - I've certainly been on less in the past couple of weeks - for me the reasons are being stuck at certain light levels. This is compounded by disappointment at loot which means I don't feel the desire to get back on I've had my money's worth but to be fair I was expecting more from something with an apparent 10 year plan

Might be true, but I stopped caring about endgame shot when TTK dropped. As long as there will always be people better than me to kill me in crucible, the game is as alive as ever for me :)

Everyone who played Destiny hoping it was the next Halo, are now gone cause Halo is out and its pvp is better than Destiny's. Black Ops 3 is out, all cod fans are on that now and are staying there. You play single player in Destiny? No reason to now thanks to Fallout. Hell, Fallouts gun play is modeled after Destiny, and they have devs from ID helping them. Big team battles and all out land and air vehicle warfare with a wicked universe? Battlefront. Not to mention other niche games. Destiny did good cause it had no competition, now that's a much different story. Also, everyone has something to compare to Destiny, and pretty much every game does it better in some way.

2 RepliesEdited by Bucket of Tears: 11/6/2015 6:11:39 PMThey totally blew it with the loot. The loot is far too stingy, subpar and the perks still don't matter. The light level really killed it. Sure you have infusion, but with each piece of gear having an individual level, and the chance per drop basically remaining at year one levels...that's atrocious. If each piece is going to have a level, they need to dramatically increase the drop rates across the board. This isn't year one when you get a raid drop and it is at max level anymore. Last night I was on totems and it started going poorly and I was going to find a different group, but then I thought "What am I doing? Getting gear for the raid so I can play the raid again next week for more gear". Ejected the disk and put in Halo 5, had a blast. I might come back for a raid every now and then, but probably won't touch Destiny much until the next expansion.

6 RepliesLmao...damn you guys are so dramatic. You act like because new games come out that people shouldn't buy and play them. Of course when numerous other triple A, extremely hyped games come out within the same small time period, the Destiny player base is gonna drop off. Doesn't mean Destiny is dead...means there's only so much time in a day and free time people have in a day to play and they are obviously playing thr new games. Give it a week, most of the CoD players will be back once they miss the grind and reward system of Destiny. Then others will bounce when FO4 and Battlefront drops, and be back in a week or 2. What do you guys honestly expect? Just because people are choosing to play a new game for a bit literally doesn't mean Destiny is dead ffs. Guess what, I have FO4 preordered and Battlefront, I have BO3, and I will still play Destiny more than them when all is said and done. I'm actually headed home now to play some Destiny for a bit, then pop in BO3 for a bit.

I've noticed lfg numbers have dropped. And my own desire to play had dropped. Nothing else to do except maybe play the raid to maybe get gear that's better than my current stuff? But I can already beat the raid so do I really need to get better gear?

Once you've seen everything Destiny has to offer,YOU'VE SEEN EVERYTHING DESTINY HAS TO OFFER. Now it's just a choice of do I like this game enough to keep doing the same things over and over and is the carrot at the end of the stick (reward/loot drop) worth it. Thank you for making this post.
