Ginger intercepts the message before the other receives it, and begins to decrypt it. He initially attempts to trace the signal, but decided against revealing his own position by doing so.

[b]It is an abandoned ship floating in space, nearby[/b]

[i]Hmm... How curious. [/i] Ginger straps himself into a jumpsuit; though his body is resistant to the vacuum of space, his joints would freeze before he reached the ship. He crawls out of the airlock with a thruster pack, and goes towards the ship.

[b]It is a mining vessel, seemingly at tacked by pirates [/b]

He runs a thermal scan for any life forms.

[b]It shows many, but all but one are anomalous [/b]

He docks at the ship, and draws out his plasma blade. It's a akin to a shortsword, with a katana-like blade and a plain, unadorned hilt. His thrusters navigate him through the ship as he searches for the nearest life form.

[b]You see one, it's a man, but how is he alive? His face has been almost ripped off, and you hear him mumbling nonsense [/b]

[i]If he's alive, then the life support systems are online.[/i] He gingerly lifts the man up, careful not to damage his already injured face, and carefully floats through the ship to the medbay: though life systems were on, artificial gravity was off.

[b]The man coughs up blood violently then goes still[/b]

When he eventually finds he medbay, he very carefully straps the man into a bed, and then analyzes his wounds.

[b]There seems to be The man violently wakes up and scrabbled at his bonds, making a roaring noise the had a chorus of answer[/b]

Ginger pins the man down with his hand and injects a sedative, enough to keep him down for a day. When he pulls the syringe out, his hand eagerly twitches on the sidearm at his hip.

[b]You see horribly disfigured people appear through the door, pale skinned with red blotches and fungal growths on them, and they launch them selves at you[/b]

Ginger wasn't afraid; even if they got close, he could deal with them.

Ginger doesn't question the additional help as he slams his fist into a nearby thrall, almost completely obliterating its chest.
