Ive been noticing an increase in the amount of disrespect from bungie employees on community forums.
Just look at todays weekly update and the extremely snarky and sarcastic comments from Deej such as "omg he only has 1600 weapon parts left we need to do something" and "we hold the right to do anything with the game economy we want."
Does anyone else think snarky comments like this are very unprofessional? Like Bungie you act like your some sort of hero for fixing a problem that YOU created.
Here is a comment from another post that explains my thoughts perfectly, all credit goes to user Wahrnye
"Just another joke of a weekly update that makes it easier to not look back on this game going forward.
Announcing the weapon parts change - Fine, but that's a fix to a problem THEY created. And when addressing the fact that THEY created this problem, DeeJ wraps it up in unnecessary snark about being curators of THEIR living world. Hubris to the highest degree; it's almost as if they're saying how dare we question their choices?
Let me say this next part slowly so the apologists can understand: Etheric Light and Wormspore uses should have been in the game since September's launch, not something coming soon by December. They knew Etheric Light was a thing that many people had plenty of and they also introduced Wormspore (apparently) without any regard for what to do with it outside a few weapon upgrades. IIt's going to take them almost 3 months to finally make these things meaningful? These are all issues they created by poor planning or bad oversight, not something they should be praised for fixing AFTER the fact.
The rest of the entire update was about the same tired PVP bullshit as almost every other weekly update. No news on new content, no commenting on the terrible loot system - especially in regards to raid drops (I love doing the raid and getting a fourth duplicate item at 302 light... ) - or the fact that Nightfalls, Strikes, and Court of Oryx ceases being rewarding once you reach 300 light or more.
I've seen this playbook before. Between this and Activision spouting off their easily manipulated "registered user" numbers (aka 'investor math'), they've pretty much already decided they're going to pander to the base players who believe Bungie can never, ever, do any wrong. Nothing will change going forward. Bungie and Activision are living in their own echo chamber - as evidenced by the fact that they spend more time conversing with the "community" on Bungie-friendly outlets like Reddit and Twitter..."
EDIT:
A lot of you seem to think im just looking for something to be offended by cuz im a "no balls toxic loser"
Its more im just fed up with the bullshit direction this game is taking like timegating exotics that i already payed for to extend gameplay time and patching things like weapon parts for no -blam!-ing reason
Perhaps the most irritating thing is the bungie fanboys and dickriders who will stop at nothing to defend everything the devs do to this game and every word that comes out of that douchebag known as Deej's mouth.
Go ahead meet me with ninja justice for stating the obvious about your shit company and bottomfeeder fanboys
EDIT2
It seems the common defense for Deejs tone is "oh bungie has to go through so much shit and complaining on the forums, people are meanies"
You people cant seriously believe its ok for a company to retaliate in this fashion. Oh no a game developer has to see negative feedback about the game they made wahh wahh prayers for bungie" All of you are saying "can the entitled/offended generation go away", if you ask me the people defending bungie with this mindset are the "offended generation."
Some of you say, "The customer is always right bullshit has to stop." Anyone who utters this is a complete moron and has either no concept of business ethics or is 15 years old and thinks they are being righteous and hip.
Go ahead, start a business and whenever a customer has a problem with you or the product, tell them to -blam!- OFF. Yea thats a good business model, you will surely succeed.

So true ...I loved this game, but it has become a chore. I really don't have fun playing this game anymore. it's sad because I can say I loved the old Destiny better..yes I got all the exotics fast and got all my raid gear fast, but it was fun as hell and I enjoyed grinding Templar 3 times because I wanted a Fate Bringer on all my characters. I wanted to kill atheon 3 times because I wanted the Vision on all 3 characters. Now Bungie killed all of that because they don't want you beating the end content so fast and get bored. Me being a working family man, TTK is not geared towards the working gaurdian because I don't have time to grind the way Bungie wants us to now...before TTK it was perfect....anyway I can go on for hours but nobody cares anyway lol.
-
Ok I have explained this before...so let me put it another way..if a crack dealer gives you the choice to buy crack or not buy crack...and you buy said crack and then COMPLAIN about the crack you got but continue to buy the SAME DAMN CRACK then its no longer the dealers fault...its yours my friends...this game is a choice and YOU have to decide if the content is worth the money your paying...if people are going to pay the money then why on in the hell would bungie stop making mediocre content. It's a business not a friendship...game developers do not care if you like there game or not..its are you going to spend money or not. Bottom line.
-
An attempted remedy to a problem they made. On top of that .........that "remedy" should have been in the game from the get go.
-
I agree thought that was a bit rude

Edited by Shaye5000: 11/6/2015 6:17:12 PMPeople like you are the people improving this game in the long run, sometimes I want this forum to not exist when I see some replies here. Wish bungie would stop relying on the 90% mentally deficient community to fix their mistakes. I wish more people had structured criticism like you thanks :)
-
I get it was supposed to be humour but it wasn't funny. Just sounded abit d1cky in my opinion. There wasn't a problem with weapon parts. It was just a blatant attempt to drag out player time. There really wasn't a need for it. Bungie should have just sucked it up and fixed it. Yes it's thier economy, they can do what they want. But if they want people to stay around this artificial play time isn't the way to go and they shouldn't have an attitude about it, even if it's an attempt at humour.

You guys notice all of these large responses? This is how we should be interacting. I like this post.

Bungie, Deej, and Activision DON'T CARE. It's clear from their broken game and "one step forward, two steps back" approach to every change they make. And why should they, they've already sold you the game, and the season pass, and another $40 expansion. People are buying tons of Sliver. It's clear they can do whatever they want and people will still support their game. And they are not the only ones. I was just reading that Xbox one people might have pre-downloaded the wrong file for Fallout 4. And that this just happened before with BO3. And how long did it take Skyrim to work properly on PS3? Arkham Knight is still broken on PC. These are mistakes that if you or I committed them on our jobs, we'd be fired. And yet, people still support the companies making this "AAA" games. They're all either broken, require massive patches, or are chopped up for DLC. It's pitiful and disgusting, but honestly the gaming community only has themselves to blame. AAA games just aren't what they used to be, because companies know gamers will buy whatever, even after delays, cut content, pre order bonus at multiple stores, terrible customer service. It doesn't matter. The idiots will still come out in droves and the sales numbers will be through the roof.

With the interview with Luke Smith months back and snarky comments from Deej like this its obvious to see why people find their " jokes" offensive. There is really no need for people to jump in and say others are easily offended and need to grown up. Or that they are entitled. This isn't a one-off situation. They are still trying to right the ship while still making obvious mistakes. Now isn't the time for Bungie to act like their shit doesn't stink and that they launched a game changer. They launched a mess and are still cleaning it up. If their (Bungie) reaction is to respond with sarcasm they are showing their true colors. They messed up and instead of making fun of those who complain about the games shortcomings , they should focus on correcting the issue. His comment was low class because he isn't a comedian doing a set trying to get a laugh where it is obvious he is joking. If anyone needs to stop being butt hurt it is Bungie. Swallow that jagged pill and move on, Deej.

The way I see it . If Obama had come out and say that " I just checked with my bosses at the big banks and they say that they only have 1.3 trillion dollars left in their accounts . We must run out and help them . " everyone would have been up in Arms to go take his head . In any economy , wether game or real life there has to be balance and checks . If you don't have that ... Well you get a shitty economy where nobody profits , or only a few . And I'm sorry but if everyone doesn't buy your product you go broke .

I do own a business (a profitable and successful one at that) and sometimes there are customers that can't be worked with, and I have told a few to f*ck off. Cooperation is key between business and customer, customers are not always right, and believe it or not its okay to tell them when they are wrong. You can try to make your customers happy but there is always that one guy who you have to tell to get bent. I have never believed in the customer is always right mantra and never will. That mantra lets customers take advantage of companies and it can end up costing you a lot of money. Before anyone goes there, of course a business' number one goal is making money, maybe not at all costs, if you don't make money you don't have a business. Being in business will always be about making money no matter what the business does. You should maybe temper your comments about the proper way to run a business until you have some experience in doing so. Your comments basically show that either you don't experience in business or that you will shortly be looking for a job because you will soon have a failing one.

Edited by CrudeDude: 11/6/2015 5:58:29 PMI made a post about DEEJ and his disrespectful and smug wiseass undertone. It was IMMEDIATELY shut down and deleted by bungie.

I typically will push back when someone says that people are getting too oversensitive these days and just looking for things to be offended by. However after reading this post I think those people may have a point.

WHAT IS THAT! A DISTRACTION TO YOUR LEFT! DO YOU SEE IT!?

> Tries to explain his viewpoint and turn us to his opinion. > Calls us d*ckriders and bottomfeeders.
mission accomplished, thanks for being mature in stating your opinion.
Seriously, now you just look like a disrespectful bag of trash regardless of whatever opinion or viewpoint you have.

So you can't take sarcasm or an explanation that they make the game so its not fair to freak out on them when they make adjustments It's one of the dumbest and most overused insults on these forums but you really do need to grow up a little

Of course to be added year one was the largest beta ever. My opinion* They even call it a work in progress. The community's feedback is what made this game better. Forever 29* vault space* thorn* to name a few. Now we call out their mistakes ( as we have been asked to do ) for fking up the gunparts and a few other things. We get sht on like year 1 auto rifles haha! I love the game. Loved the game. Fix this but fk up that. At least Deejs boss plays the game.

who cares how long it takes for them to do something with etheric light, wormspore, or things like that. It's not hurting you. If it bugs you so much just by being in your inventory then just push a -blam!-ing button and watch it fade from existence. Just shut the -blam!- up already

Im with you

Who are you to decide "whats professional", i like the snarky updates, they are at least enjoyable to read. Unlike your complaint post.

I would agree to some point. While I don't have a huge surplus of weapon parts like some people who played a lot of year 1 but I do alright in getting them, or at least I did. I started back up after quitting destiny a few month into the release but then the taken King was coming out and a friend said he wanted to play it with me so I dived back in. I quickly reached 295 light in the first week with my lock raising from lvl 30 or so (I didn't pre order so no bonus xp class item). Anyways I found myself doing a lot of content while waiting for my friend, completing the nightfall, starting a hunter from scratch and raising it to 40, bringing my lvl 8 Tibetan to 40. But there's an issue with a lot of things since the taken King, the reason I left year one was my own staying power and my friends didn't play as much as me so I got bored, but know there's a bunch of little problems which add up. I never was much of crucible player except for when my friends play but every time I enter I realize how unbalanced everything is guns, supers (both nerfed and op), and it doesn't feel at all like an even playing field. I don't have many year one items especially since I trashed them for parts but I see a lot of people using year ones, not because they don't want to use year 2 weapons but there's only a select few that actually are worth a damn and finding them is completely up to rng plus some of those weapons which are "lasers" are complete shit without one perk that actually makes it viable (like my only hawksaw I've gotten which sucks). Then you have classes where some supers make you feel fragile and others make you damn near invulnerable, and people saying "get Gud" to a lot people facing the hammer for instance need to calm down on the trolling, because unless you have a certain load out there is a slim chance of killing one with out team shooting and even then a few of you are going to die anyways. I've done the majority of pve content I'm 310 light when I wear my non pvp gear and my titan is 309 but I feel disenfranchised to play because I don't know what else to do until a new update, because everyone wants to do the no knight strat in hard mode which I think is is cheap and unreliable. I'm just at a standstill for now.
