Ive been noticing an increase in the amount of disrespect from bungie employees on community forums.
Just look at todays weekly update and the extremely snarky and sarcastic comments from Deej such as "omg he only has 1600 weapon parts left we need to do something" and "we hold the right to do anything with the game economy we want."
Does anyone else think snarky comments like this are very unprofessional? Like Bungie you act like your some sort of hero for fixing a problem that YOU created.
Here is a comment from another post that explains my thoughts perfectly, all credit goes to user Wahrnye
"Just another joke of a weekly update that makes it easier to not look back on this game going forward.
Announcing the weapon parts change - Fine, but that's a fix to a problem THEY created. And when addressing the fact that THEY created this problem, DeeJ wraps it up in unnecessary snark about being curators of THEIR living world. Hubris to the highest degree; it's almost as if they're saying how dare we question their choices?
Let me say this next part slowly so the apologists can understand: Etheric Light and Wormspore uses should have been in the game since September's launch, not something coming soon by December. They knew Etheric Light was a thing that many people had plenty of and they also introduced Wormspore (apparently) without any regard for what to do with it outside a few weapon upgrades. IIt's going to take them almost 3 months to finally make these things meaningful? These are all issues they created by poor planning or bad oversight, not something they should be praised for fixing AFTER the fact.
The rest of the entire update was about the same tired PVP bullshit as almost every other weekly update. No news on new content, no commenting on the terrible loot system - especially in regards to raid drops (I love doing the raid and getting a fourth duplicate item at 302 light... ) - or the fact that Nightfalls, Strikes, and Court of Oryx ceases being rewarding once you reach 300 light or more.
I've seen this playbook before. Between this and Activision spouting off their easily manipulated "registered user" numbers (aka 'investor math'), they've pretty much already decided they're going to pander to the base players who believe Bungie can never, ever, do any wrong. Nothing will change going forward. Bungie and Activision are living in their own echo chamber - as evidenced by the fact that they spend more time conversing with the "community" on Bungie-friendly outlets like Reddit and Twitter..."
EDIT:
A lot of you seem to think im just looking for something to be offended by cuz im a "no balls toxic loser"
Its more im just fed up with the bullshit direction this game is taking like timegating exotics that i already payed for to extend gameplay time and patching things like weapon parts for no -blam!-ing reason
Perhaps the most irritating thing is the bungie fanboys and dickriders who will stop at nothing to defend everything the devs do to this game and every word that comes out of that douchebag known as Deej's mouth.
Go ahead meet me with ninja justice for stating the obvious about your shit company and bottomfeeder fanboys
EDIT2
It seems the common defense for Deejs tone is "oh bungie has to go through so much shit and complaining on the forums, people are meanies"
You people cant seriously believe its ok for a company to retaliate in this fashion. Oh no a game developer has to see negative feedback about the game they made wahh wahh prayers for bungie" All of you are saying "can the entitled/offended generation go away", if you ask me the people defending bungie with this mindset are the "offended generation."
Some of you say, "The customer is always right bullshit has to stop." Anyone who utters this is a complete moron and has either no concept of business ethics or is 15 years old and thinks they are being righteous and hip.
Go ahead, start a business and whenever a customer has a problem with you or the product, tell them to -blam!- OFF. Yea thats a good business model, you will surely succeed.

People like you are why South Park made an episode about the P.C. Bros.

Social Justice Warrior alert! Everyone, SCRAMBLE!!!

I never remembered anyone complaining about games in the 90s. You either liked it or you didn't. Bungie -blam!-ed up the first time they changed the game. Changing it to only appease those who complained opened up a door of hate in this community. Knowing if they fight (or in most cases, complain) hard enough they might get what they want out of this game makes people argue against others with conflicting ideas. Because obviously in some cases it would have to be one persons way or anothers. This also might be the real reason some of us just can't walk away from Destiny. It's all about hope. lol

The customer is not always right... that was an old burger king slogan.

All aboard!

Edited by Specimen_Seven: 11/6/2015 5:09:56 PMI've noticed that plenty of Destiny forum-goers have been hostile shitheads toward Bungie employees since day one. Interesting correlation, no?
-
Edited by Hooger: 11/6/2015 5:47:48 PMI hear what you're saying, although I dont entirely agree... There is some good news DeeJ is going on vacation!! Goodbye, Have fun, annnnnd HELLLLLLLLO COZMO!
-
Seriously, that bothers you?
-
To be honest I'm not bothered by it. A lot can get misconstrued when typed and then read by others. I do think the statement about them changing things as they like was a bite back at all of the whining and demanding that goes on.

Well let's look from a real world perspective...say you go to a restaurant and order a steak medium rare and it comes out medium well done...will you rant and rave and curse and call the cook all kinds of profane names?or will you politely express your displeasure and allow it to be resolved?snd then leave and make a decision either to come back or go elsewhere? Some could b asshats, yell scream talk trash bout the cook that has your steak in hand listening to you spew....how many times did your steak hit the ground before hitting the grill then finally a nice layering of spit for that extra glazed look...that's the very real response you could get with vile language at a restaurant, think bout it next time you curse your server or cook. I use this analogy because in the real and online world ppl still have feelings...and I understand that a certain level of professionalism should be shown especially since it's their mistake but this youthful generation thinks they can just say any ol thing and not get a bit of your own medicine back....a little decorum and the manners your mommy told you about but forget to use is in order and you probably wouldn't get the snide remarks.i bet half of the ppl here lack the intestinal fortitude to say what they type in person to these guys. I speak from the service industry...I'm the guy that comes and fixes your ac when it breaks...and trust me you will be as polite as can be why?cause you want it fixed.ive been cursed b4 by customers over previous ac companies not doin their job..I remind them it was the other company and if they continue I tell them I can leave and come back once they've found their manners, cause I don't have to take that kind of behavior from no customer and my boss has backed me on several occasions....bottom line is be the change you want to see in the world...it's what you young people say alot now a days anyway
-
It looks like I'm not the only one who took those comments by DeeJ as snarky or backhanded (1,600 weapon parts and we have the right to do what we want). It rubbed me the wrong way when I read it, happy to see I'm not the only one.
-
Hey asshole?! NEWSFLASH bungie sucks and this game is garbage. -blam!- this game and -blam!- this forum. -blam!- bungie and -blam!- all of you
-
Very aggressive, but so true man bump..
-
-
it was just "banter"
-
I have to be honest . As much as I love this game I come to forums hoping to read something that will make me feel it's worth investing more time. It is an amazing game but I don't want to feel like I'm asking for a lot after paying a shit ton for a game and playing it for more than 2000 hours . Fix the problems and take whatever bullshit the community through at you bungie . We are customers and because we have invested in your product it's only fair you make it better with time . No need for the smart combacks deej
-
Agreed completely with the OP. Bump this to the top baby.
-
Its ok calm down, fallout 4 soon. Good times are coming.
-
Agreed, it was an unprofessional comment.

Edited by TheWagn: 11/6/2015 5:37:13 PMIt's just b8 m8 Bungie b8. Don't take it. That's what they want.
-
You people cry so much I literally scroll through these forums laughing at how upset you get. This is the most diverse game to date they try to make changes for you because all you do is complain and when they do make those changes you still complain
-
as evidenced by the fact that they spend more time conversing with the "community" on Bungie-friendly outlets like Reddit and Twitter..."
I wonder Why they spend so much time there.
