Ive been noticing an increase in the amount of disrespect from bungie employees on community forums.
Just look at todays weekly update and the extremely snarky and sarcastic comments from Deej such as "omg he only has 1600 weapon parts left we need to do something" and "we hold the right to do anything with the game economy we want."
Does anyone else think snarky comments like this are very unprofessional? Like Bungie you act like your some sort of hero for fixing a problem that YOU created.
Here is a comment from another post that explains my thoughts perfectly, all credit goes to user Wahrnye
"Just another joke of a weekly update that makes it easier to not look back on this game going forward.
Announcing the weapon parts change - Fine, but that's a fix to a problem THEY created. And when addressing the fact that THEY created this problem, DeeJ wraps it up in unnecessary snark about being curators of THEIR living world. Hubris to the highest degree; it's almost as if they're saying how dare we question their choices?
Let me say this next part slowly so the apologists can understand: Etheric Light and Wormspore uses should have been in the game since September's launch, not something coming soon by December. They knew Etheric Light was a thing that many people had plenty of and they also introduced Wormspore (apparently) without any regard for what to do with it outside a few weapon upgrades. IIt's going to take them almost 3 months to finally make these things meaningful? These are all issues they created by poor planning or bad oversight, not something they should be praised for fixing AFTER the fact.
The rest of the entire update was about the same tired PVP bullshit as almost every other weekly update. No news on new content, no commenting on the terrible loot system - especially in regards to raid drops (I love doing the raid and getting a fourth duplicate item at 302 light... ) - or the fact that Nightfalls, Strikes, and Court of Oryx ceases being rewarding once you reach 300 light or more.
I've seen this playbook before. Between this and Activision spouting off their easily manipulated "registered user" numbers (aka 'investor math'), they've pretty much already decided they're going to pander to the base players who believe Bungie can never, ever, do any wrong. Nothing will change going forward. Bungie and Activision are living in their own echo chamber - as evidenced by the fact that they spend more time conversing with the "community" on Bungie-friendly outlets like Reddit and Twitter..."
EDIT:
A lot of you seem to think im just looking for something to be offended by cuz im a "no balls toxic loser"
Its more im just fed up with the bullshit direction this game is taking like timegating exotics that i already payed for to extend gameplay time and patching things like weapon parts for no -blam!-ing reason
Perhaps the most irritating thing is the bungie fanboys and dickriders who will stop at nothing to defend everything the devs do to this game and every word that comes out of that douchebag known as Deej's mouth.
Go ahead meet me with ninja justice for stating the obvious about your shit company and bottomfeeder fanboys
EDIT2
It seems the common defense for Deejs tone is "oh bungie has to go through so much shit and complaining on the forums, people are meanies"
You people cant seriously believe its ok for a company to retaliate in this fashion. Oh no a game developer has to see negative feedback about the game they made wahh wahh prayers for bungie" All of you are saying "can the entitled/offended generation go away", if you ask me the people defending bungie with this mindset are the "offended generation."
Some of you say, "The customer is always right bullshit has to stop." Anyone who utters this is a complete moron and has either no concept of business ethics or is 15 years old and thinks they are being righteous and hip.
Go ahead, start a business and whenever a customer has a problem with you or the product, tell them to -blam!- OFF. Yea thats a good business model, you will surely succeed.

It was uncalled for, and frankly this type of attitude is what I've been warning against since this game came out, Bungie is arrogant with a game that hasn't even established itself, they are still riding the halo train and its glory instead if making something new and better
-
I too found the sense of humor in the update unfunny and condescending tbh. You can be the Bosses of the game all you like, but its the customer that keeps that roof over your head.
-
Yeah I -blam!-ing lost it when I saw that comment Deej can fight me irl quick scope only
-
They have been kind of snotty picks lately which is something you don't normally see. I've kinda come to expect this shit from them though, and look at the kind of comments they get on a daily basis. I think they have earned the right to be dicks if they want to but at the same time it's not exactly something u want to see from a company you buy things from

You know, I really like the game Mass Effect 2, but when I was into it I wasn't upset when Bioware didn't provide updates on the game every week. The fact that I now like a game that has stuff I can look forward to every other day and constantly be able to read about it's ongoing development is amazing to me in itself.
-
These reasons are why I am moving back to battlefield here in the future
-
I can't believe how he used the word the in the third last sentence I am so offended.
-
However this could be just in a joking tone. For example in previous a twitch one guy had like 9000 weapon parts. He might just be joking in reference to that. I think this would be a lot more positive than getting into a argument. I mean it is a possibility right?
-
Probably because the community acts even worse. Give respect to get it. The community is 12 year olds who never stop complaining. Why would they like you people. You're all cancerous and dollar figures to them, and why blame them?
-
Probably because they're tired of this communities shitty and ungrateful attitude...if people weren't such little pieces of shit, things would probably be different.

You can attempt to spin it that way if you want, but only an idiot is going to buy into that perspective.
-
I bet they are going to add those along with more changes all in one big update in December so it looks like they've done a ton of work instead of just patching stuff as they go. Really by December who is even going to care about those two things being added, nobody will need to sell their worm spores or light anyways.

This was the most on point thread I have read on here for a while! I don't understand the fact people defending mistakes, as if the devs are doing us a favor, by fixing problems. They aren't successful because of themselves, it's because of us, the consumer. If they want continued support, they should respect us and respond professionally. I've seen this stuff before, from there weekly updates, to 343s weeklies about MCC, which I followed for a while, then gave up. The apologists are just enablers. Devs are for us, not us, for them. Beautifully written thread, OP!

Perhaps it's a natural human response to dealing with this toxic community full of whiny ass little bitches like yourself.
-
Love how dbags like you try to pick out a tone in a text formatted post. Soon you will learn its impossible to be correct while trying to read minds. You are NOT unique! You have listed known problems that we've known that Bungies known forever. You are a bitch boy and would do best with just having your ass beat one good time.
-
He's literally just saying what no other business has the balls to say. Also note that almost no one on these forums are professional, polite or constructive! You don't go into a restaurant and scream obscenities at the chef unless you want him to wipe his butt with your sandwich. I'm not saying it's right! I'm just saying it's perfectly understandable.
-
I'm not going to go as far as saying I'm done with Destiny, but I'm taking a break until Fallout 4 comes out and then reassessing the situation. Then considering the fact that my number one personal game on my watch list, Just Cause 3, drops less than a month from now... Not looking good for my Destiny time. Destiny has always been a huge grind. I've always laughed at those that whined about this. If you don't enjoy grinding, Destiny was never the game for you. I was always fine with that, because the gunplay was fun and made it bearable, and finally getting what you needed to reach level 30. then 32, it was worth it... Hitting 320 Light means less than squat to me. The grind, for this Day 1/Beta player, just isn't worth it anymore. Of all the mistakes Bungie has made recently, this was the most severe. They really didn't think the system through for what happens when players hit 310+...
-
The only people who don't have weapon parts are those that didn't plan their resource use properly. You've likely spent hundreds on HoW rerolling, I'd bet a few of those perfect rolls never got use. I'm guessing those hurting probably have an extra faction level or two to show for it.
-
Ironic you start a thread about inappropriate tone then hurl abuse at those who disagree with you.
-
Deej is constantly stuck between a rock and a hard place. Deej: -Writes tweets and weeklies with a monotone, professional tone- Community: "Bungie is too money focused and doesn't care about community!" Next week: Deej: -Writes tweets and weeklies with a more fun, joking manner- Community: "DEEJ IS MAKING FUN OF US!
Does anyone else think snarky comments like this are very unprofessional? Like Bungie you act like your some sort of hero for fixing a problem that YOU created.
Boom. Love it.

I've always considered him to be nothing more than a cock sucking little prick. No actuall respect for the people who pay his bills. (us) Without us he wouldnt have a job, full stop.
-
I agree... it's getting pretty annoying. I enjoy the game. I enjoy playing. I support their decisions and the timeframes. But I don't like the attitude of today's update. Pretty much all I got was "Yea we hear you, and get off our backs we will find uses for past content we left behind on our time, not yours" although we are the ones who pay your salaries and play your game. Piss us off, please.
