Passive aggressive inappropriate tone from Deej and other Bungie employees
Ive been noticing an increase in the amount of disrespect from bungie employees on community forums.
Just look at todays weekly update and the extremely snarky and sarcastic comments from Deej such as "omg he only has 1600 weapon parts left we need to do something" and "we hold the right to do anything with the game economy we want."
Does anyone else think snarky comments like this are very unprofessional? Like Bungie you act like your some sort of hero for fixing a problem that YOU created.

Let me say this next part slowly so the apologists can understand: [i][u]Etheric Light and Wormspore uses should have been in the game since September's launch, not something coming soon by December.[/u][/i] They knew Etheric Light was a thing that many people had plenty of and they also introduced Wormspore (apparently) without any regard for what to do with it outside a few weapon upgrades. IIt's going to take them almost 3 months to finally make these things meaningful? These are all issues they created by poor planning or bad oversight, not something they should be praised for fixing AFTER the fact.
The rest of the entire update was about the same tired PVP bullshit as almost every other weekly update. No news on new content, no commenting on the terrible loot system - especially in regards to raid drops (I love doing the raid and getting a fourth duplicate item at 302 light... ) - or the fact that Nightfalls, Strikes, and Court of Oryx ceases being rewarding once you reach 300 light or more.
I've seen this playbook before. Between this and Activision spouting off their easily manipulated "registered user" numbers (aka 'investor math'), they've pretty much already decided they're going to pander to the base players who believe Bungie can never, ever, do any wrong. Nothing will change going forward. Bungie and Activision are living in their own echo chamber - as evidenced by the fact that they spend more time conversing with the "community" on Bungie-friendly outlets like Reddit and Twitter..."

To OP, don't get too worked up by the hateful, nonsensical comments you get around this parts, I read the forums on a regular basis, and civility is one thing most people around here are lacking, they will hate and spout any kind of nonsense, I suppose that is what you get when people have no clue on how correctly exercise the right to voice their opinion. Me for one agree with you entirely, I love this game, the hours I have put in this game are more than I have put in all the games I have played the last past year combined, but the truth is, most of the problems with the game are and the subsequent frustration from most players, is that most issues stem from decisions take by the developer, and yes, they it is their game and they are entitled to make changes and introduce new mechanics or to take away those that were already in place, I am just dumbfounded by how most those changes "enrage" the community en masse. Sometimes I actually wonder whether they don't foresee the backlash they may cause by introducing some of this "improvements" like taking away the XP buff from the Nightfalls, nerfing weapon parts (just so they have to come with a "fix" after people complain for weeks on end about weapon parts drought, or one of my favorites, not giving any issue to Etheric light for months, the only reason why I would actually run the Iron Banner whenever it came out, never did it for the gear or the weapons, only for the Etheric light, so I guess in hindsight for me, it is not a bad thing that the drops during the last IB were as bad as it seems they were. Anyway, thank you for your comments, it is good to see there is still people around this parts that at least try to give some constructive feedback.

Urk has 45 days played and over 70,000+ kills in the strike playlist, 70,000+ kills in patrol and 60,000 kills in story mode alone. That is WAYYYYYYYYY above the average amount of playtime in content that is easy and drops more engrams than most other game modes. It's also by far the most boring content in the game. PVP players are lucky to get 1 blue every 10 minutes. Bungie have confirmed the average number of weapon parts per acount is 26.8 https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/170304244/0/0 So I got black spindle this week. Each bubble is 10 parts. So 26 parts isn't enough to even unlock all the perks. Infusing it. I am looking at 4-5 infusions minimum. So you are talking 80 weapon parts to level up an exotic weapon to be raid ready. And they thought that the average being about 26 parts per acount deserved a nerf? So each weapon dismantle gives you 1-2 parts on average. So 54 Blue weapons are needed just for the weapon parts needed. Then I need another 4-5 blues/legendaries as the actualy infusion fuel. So on average I would say you get one weapon part every 10 minutes if you are a pvp player. You are looking at 9 hours of PVP play to upgrade an exotic weapon. Minimum. Just for the parts. It's insane.

In my opinion, Deej is a horrible community manager. All of the updates come across as useless. Far too many are just updates to tell us more news will come in a future update. The tone he projects is one of disinterest to the community he is supposed to be managing. When he is not telling us to stand by for future updates, he's rambling endlessly with no real content to what is said. I had thought that by adding Cosmo to the community manager post as well, things might get better. But all he seems relegated to do is play Bob Saget and tell us about whatever lame ass video they want to promote. At this point Bungie, by their own numbers has to know that the community isn't that interested in their PVP experience. Yet every update has to cover it. Bungie seriously needs to reconsider how they interact with their fanbase. At this point the honeymoon phase is over for The Taken King, and its flaws are showing prominently. The good will initially gained by the exciting story, has been chipped away at the increased grind. The unnecessary and unasked for changes to economy. (Sorry I much preferred when all my rep went to the Faction I was pledged too. I don't care for Crucible or Vanguard Weapons or Armor). No one asked for the removal of strange coins as the weekly reward. I would much rather have my nine strange coins back rather than another useless Legendary engram that will no doubt decrypt below my level. No one asked for the removal of the Nightfall buff. And Bungie flat out lied regarding giving us a way to make up for the loss in rep. There are far too many exciting and interesting games coming out for Bungie to keep on making the same ill conceived decisions, and still expect to sustain the current player base.

TTK has been the most disappointing update compared to The Dark Below and House of Wolves. There is always some new currency or something new for the player to fetch with little regard to what we already have. Not to mention the hurdles we jump through for some of the exotics lmao I rather do an exotic weapon bounty but I guess those don't exist anymore. I'm not asking for a hand out, I don't even mind the grind but how about letting me trade ascendant/radiant shards/energy for faction rep or a small amount of glimmer. These items have no use except vault space. Far as your new bright idea goes: Depending on the price of the weapon part(s) versus the quantity you get for this said price still [i]might not[/i] help much in the long run. Example: 7 Strange Coins for[i] 3 [/i](use to be five) heavy ammo packs are a lot better than 950 [i]"per" [/i]pack. Out of coins? Do the weekly, stack up and buy a few. See the [b]incentive[/b] to the player here? Even if small, make the player feel like they have accomplished something other than the bs patches that keep nerfing us because you can't get your game right or you want us to play a certain way. (Having no way to use Year 1 exotics that were "reintroduced" in year 2 that you ALREADY farmed and leveled... requires rediscovery...wtf?) P.S Having a so called use for Etheric Light, is just your way of bringing Prisoner of Elders back into the mix for those who don't have a stack laying around because we all know Prisoners was kind of a joke compared to Trials endgame wise. But hey atleast your "new customers" will enjoy doing something because they bought the $60 version of the game. I feel sorry for anyone who didn't purchase the season pass or TTK with the bundled DLC because now this content is locked for whoever didn't purchase House of Wolves, and with that I'm done. I totally agree. I've loved this community for a long time now, but it's just running dry. Bungie isn't legendary like they used to be - they really just sunk into the gray matter of those big a$$ game compaines out there. The community is full of people who whine about petty content in a game [i]they're[/i] [b][i]choosing[/i][/b] to play, and the literally largest focus of the "community" is complaining about something that's been acknowledged since launch. I'm just not feeling it or Bungie anymore. It's a shame. I wish I loved Destiny more.

Off topic a little bit ( still semi related) , I love that they gave us quests that provided planet materials because they didn't like chest farming. They said that specifically, then bungie introduced numerous quests that solely revolve around chest farming damn hadium flakes . I finally get my ToM and have to grind 30 more to upgrade.
