Okay fair enough. I personally think that what they're doing is more than fair. If everything was abundant, there's no point of an economy system. When they nerfed weapon parts it meant that you had to learn how to use your weapon parts selectively, which gives weapon parts some value, especially with the light system meaning at least 50% of gear being redundant in some way. At least now they've given us a way to buy it with glimmer. I'm shocked that people are still complaining. To me, the comment about the boss swimming in parts is a simple nod to the fact that while there were people lacking in weapon parts, others were swimming in them (just go to any thread there's always a guy who's like: I don't know how you have a problem like that). I had a good chuckle at that. I mean, I never actually expected them to do this for us. The original nerf is to change weapon parts to fit in with what Bungie planned it to be. Sure, we've got the right to give them feedback, but they really don't have to do anything they don't want to (just look at Rust). We'll (players) always look for the easier and quicker way to the gear (as a general rule). Wow rant over. Didn't expect it to blow out into a three paragraph essay. If you made it to the end, here's a cookie. If you just skipped to the end because tl;dr, have a cookie anyway.

  • Haha I did read now I want that cookie. I'm not complaining about the weapons parts for myself as I have shit loads. Day one player you see lol. My real issue is the rediculos grind they've made this to be now. HOW had it almost right. Given the crucible weapon nerfs that were needed. But it was not such an issue for me to spend most of my nights off(I work 4on4off) for a few hours to get what I needed and try something different. Now it has to be a daily thing. Get on and get your marks so you can unlock yr2 exotic that you already have from yr 1 but have to upgrade all over again. Between all 3 character I had 1200marks. I could buy a weapon. Reforge it to perks I would like to try. Upgrade it and test to out. And it took some time to do but not nearly as much as it is now. The grind is just too much for normal working individuals. And the perks/gear is just not worth it. Would you like a cookie?

  • Aww thanks I'd like a cookie too! Yeah I can see how the grind has increased, but surely if your emphasis was not the gear but the actual playing, you wouldn't feel the grind as much? Not saying don't go for gear, but focusing too much on gear makes the grind the grind. Plus, when you're not really expecting to get gear, and it drops for you that's the best feeling (Eyaslunaaaaaa!!) Now we both owe each other cookies but there's no in-game trading, great.
