Idk, while I definitely don't think bungie is perfect and they can do no wrong (the past is evidence of their ability) I'm not sure it wasn't just deej personality coming across poorly in text format. I am sure that if you had heard him say it with his tone and cadence then it wouldn't have been insulting.
I would how ever like to see bungie be more open and transparent to their player base.
For instance their banning process is a bunch of hand waving magic with them saying "trust us". I'm no fan of this because I would hate to see people wrongly banned. They also don't appear to have any appeals process on the bans.
The lack of beta testing new builds is also frustrating, they should have a separate server which they turn on when getting ready to release a new patch. Any willing players can choose to launch up the game to that server and test the new features as well as report any bugs they find. Maybe reward those who find a bug with a special item or gun. This will help them reduce the amount of -blam!- ups and make game launches less bugy for us all.
Tl;Dr I ranted for a bit, handwaving banning procces is bad, and have beta test of new patches

Sony and xbox make having test servers basicly impossable due to stuiped high costs involved (you have to pay them for each patch) Just as a fyi on why we never see test builds
-
Why can't it be an ingame option?

No way would Sony or xbox risk that. bad patch could kill someone's console and or corrupt data. They just won't risk all the bad headlines it would cause Doable yes... Will it happen no...

Because it's very difficult to mix two branches of code, one "live" and the other "test" without ever interfering with each other. You would ideally have two separate games on your console to do some actual proper testing.
