i'm just an old gamer who played on commodore 64, atari, philips2000, nintendo, sega and all the ps consoles. I suck at PvP and do my best in PvE. i'll carry my own weight in all the raids made more than 1000 hours in the destiny universe and read the forums but dont react to much on all the BS that young guardians give here.
So the only thing I can say is that I like this game. i like the way its changed the past year. almost everything that didn't work in my view bungie changed ( bigger vaults, destiny apps etc) sure this game isn't perfect but better than the CoD crap i played the last years. I like the grinding and playing with my mates and I got the feeling bungie trys to improve the game. Its impossible to react on all the wishes of every single guardian. i'm astonished by all the hate that some people give on the forums and suprised by the time they put in to tell the world this game sucks. if you hate it just leave and spend your quality game time to other games but No WAY you must tell the world what you think about it. Just an enormous waste of your (game) time in my view.

These young gammers don't know the struggles we had to go though. Back when games didn't have patches and updates you had to play them the way they came out. No forums to bitch and cry on. Now everyone is an entitled spoiled brat. They cry of the game is suited specifically for them or if someone says a joke even though they are addressing an issue. Unless your capable of making a better game stop all the complaints and hate it's unhealthy for you and the community.

[/quote] Not to sound like one of those people you mentioned, but that exact part of your post meant one thing: [i]games had to be good at launch or they were going to fail.[/i] I like Destiny and all, but at its launch, I had never seen a game with a PvE component that was as bare-bones and kinda boring/confusing/frustrating (and not in good kind of frustrating way, like Souls games) than Destiny was.

Lol no my friend they did not. I'm sure battle toads would have been tweaked majorly if patches were available back then. Many games were release with multiple bugs we just had to deal with till the next iteration came out. Destiny isn't perfect but it's a good game to have kept most of us playing for so long.

Yes but the dynamic is different and thus in my opinion not an apt comparison. If I buy X game for $60 and it never changes, I like it or don't. Play it or don't play it. But I have no reason to go onto a forum and say hey I don't like that big red truck that keeps running me over. But with Destiny I buy a $60 game and play it two weeks and then they change it. An I'm like, hey this isn't the game I paid for. Then they change it again. There is a certain amount of player expectation that the game devs will be at least letting us know what's up and listen to us a little at least. Regardless DeeJ's comment was stupid. And it's apparent that Bungie doesn't like it's player base. Which is normal. Most musicians and actors hate their fans. But they don't say it to their faces on a daily basis. Bungie has somehow successfully found the ability to stick a middle finger in our faces all the time and we still pay for new content.

It's an online game that is constantly changing because of its community not because of bungie (mostly not because of bungie). We all have option to returns the game or simply stop playing. He didn't once say he didn't like us, used profanity towards us, racial slurs, or sexist remarks. He made a corny ass joke about a change being implemented that we wanted So why complain about the way he told us. I'm pretty sure if your boss came up to you and said "I know you've been asking for a raise for 3 weeks now well I'm giving it to you don't go spending it all on strippers (joking tone)" regardless if you thought it was funny or not your gunna take your raise cast your boss off as corny and keep it moving. A middle finger to our faces would be "my boss has over 1000 weapons parts so we decided to ignore your complains completely since we're doing great up here at bungie"

Fair I guess. But I take S/!; from my boss because he gives me money. I don't like taking s/); from some mouthpiece that I pay money to. I guess Destiny has run it's course with me. As weeks pass I actually find myself just sick of playing and sick of the attitude of the Bungie staff. Guess it's time for a new game.

Somtimes we forget we can take a break from this game and play others. It's like spending to much time with someone. You need a break but you'll be back eventually lol.

Agreed. OP is taking the updates, and the game for that matter, way too seriously. Play it, enjoy it, or just leave it for something else. It doesn't need to be played exclusively. Go play something else for a day or a week and come back. You may find it more enjoyable.

Why can't we continue to want the game to be better? I love Destiny and I think we should be able to buy weapon parts, how do we get that? Complain. Now we are getting it but bungie decided to make a backhanded comment which wasn't a good idea, it wasn't a good joke either because it was unfunny and backhanded. I agree with op. And you shouldn't tell someone to leave the game if they have small complaint about it. No game is perfect, if I left every game I complained about I'd play no games.

That's fine voice what you feel should be changed but people act like deej just had sex with your sister because of some stupid joke. They are words he didn't physically harm you and you don't even know him personally so why let it bother you so much. He actually told us he was changing somthing we wanted changed. That's like someone giving you back $50 but because it was balled up and wrinkled your not gunna take it. I'm sure deej would have some words for a few forumers who just slander his name and tell him to go kill himself or to fúck off. It's not voicing your opinion that's wrong is complaining about how he decided to tell us the change was comming that the issue. If people are that sensitive to take to heart some words from some person they don't even know they I feel sorry for the next generation.

You are exaggerating. People are not taking it that serious. I do think it was completely unnecessary though, I noticed it but I thought it was just me who noticed it but then saw people complain about it so I'm like oh so it was a sly backhanded comment, I thought so. I would directly complain about that comment but I will defend those who do.

Have you seen the forums lately people are taking the comment way to seriously. Did he use profanity, a racial slur, a sexist comment? No it was a dumb joke to introduce a change that the community wanted. Who cares about how he decided to tell us as long as it's getting fixed. Is his joke hurting you IRL no? If anything shrug it off and just tell your self "deej is corny as shit" but all the post and threads I have to filter through is unnecessary.

I wouldn't complain I meant. And yeah I am going through, I just found this thread. And of course he isn't hurting you but you could say that about facials or sexist comments too. They offend you, his comment was attacking your intelligence at least that's how I saw it. I didn't really care about it though. My point is that it was a sly backhanded comment. If your argument is that is was a backhanded comment then tell me why it wasn't. If you argument is that we shouldn't take the backhand comment seriously than do not reply to me.

The difference is you guys are taking a very poor attempt at humour like a personal attack which is wrong but whatever everyone interprets things differently. If I was as worked up as Op is I would just leave why would I waste my time on something if I was offended by its creators. Anyway have a good one.
