In 325 AD, the [i]Pagan[/i] Roman Emperor Constantine, calling upon the Church Leaders, called for a vote. Together, the church Fathers and Constantine himself voted into existence what we know today to be the "word of God", disposing of the remaining 'holy' books, thus the church Fathers were able to overcome their differences with the intervention of Constantine and the help of his finances.
