Well let's look from a real world perspective...say you go to a restaurant and order a steak medium rare and it comes out medium well done...will you rant and rave and curse and call the cook all kinds of profane names?or will you politely express your displeasure and allow it to be resolved?snd then leave and make a decision either to come back or go elsewhere? Some could b asshats, yell scream talk trash bout the cook that has your steak in hand listening to you spew....how many times did your steak hit the ground before hitting the grill then finally a nice layering of spit for that extra glazed look...that's the very real response you could get with vile language at a restaurant, think bout it next time you curse your server or cook.
I use this analogy because in the real and online world ppl still have feelings...and I understand that a certain level of professionalism should be shown especially since it's their mistake but this youthful generation thinks they can just say any ol thing and not get a bit of your own medicine back....a little decorum and the manners your mommy told you about but forget to use is in order and you probably wouldn't get the snide remarks.i bet half of the ppl here lack the intestinal fortitude to say what they type in person to these guys.
I speak from the service industry...I'm the guy that comes and fixes your ac when it breaks...and trust me you will be as polite as can be why?cause you want it fixed.ive been cursed b4 by customers over previous ac companies not doin their job..I remind them it was the other company and if they continue I tell them I can leave and come back once they've found their manners, cause I don't have to take that kind of behavior from no customer and my boss has backed me on several occasions....bottom line is be the change you want to see in the world...it's what you young people say alot now a days anyway

I only read your first paragraph. The difference between a restaurant and Destiny is that when you ask for something to be fixed in a restaurant they take it back and fix it in five minutes. The difference with Bungie is that something like the weapons parts thing happens and it takes them many months to fix it. Yet at the same time they are able to "fix" other stuff that we did not care at all about or was helping the player base - such as the nerf to 3 of coins. It's like having a waiter take back your steak to be fixed and it takes them 2 hours to do so, and at the same time they took away all your drinks.

So you missed the point.....Be the change you want to see in the world, just because your a customer doesn't give you the right to disrespect or disregard another's feelings,if you don't like a product you spent money on like sooooo many of us simply walk away knowing you will never give your hard earned money to that product or affiliates of said product ever again.
-
OK, I read the whole thing. The point remains, there are plenty of us who have not been rude to Bungie when asking for change. There are plenty of us who write posts on the forums that never get answered or addressed. Back in the VoG days I wrote and responded to countless posts with regards to the heavy ammo glitch. For months and months and months we had to deal with the glitch and Bungie did not even respond with a, "Hey we know it's a problem we are going to fix it." Yet, in the mean time, they spent plenty of man hours nerfing Queen's wrath gear, nerfing guns that people liked using, fixing raid cheese, and a bunch of other useless things. I tried to quit this game, I played ESO for a few months. But it sucked because all of my friends were still over here playing Destiny. I play Destiny because, short of all it's flaws, it's still the best game to play with a group of friends. No other game is really close to setting up an environment with which you can have a good time with your buddies. That's why I want them to fix shit, because I don't want to get on one Tuesday and no one is on from my friend's list.
-
Nice calm well thought out response there....I agree bungie hasn't handled destiny well at all....I dropped out of ff14 for destiny and wish I hadn't...why because the game was massive and progressive it whips destiny in the content department quests missions I was never bored there....so believe me I'm one of the many that think this game could've been waaaay better....just I'm not gonna get too pissy over it especially when I can just stop playing....son just downloaded nfs rivals I'll be playing it for awhile
-
lol, I know what you mean. My last big game before Destiny was FFXI. Again, I played that with my friends for many years. I just see so much potential in Destiny, it's hard to let it go.
-
I see it evolving as long as the development team starts to listen to the community b4 it turns into the current and somewhat warranted witch hunt
-
It's a lot easier to cook another steak than to recode a game lol
-
That's why my analogy was two hours for the steak to be recooked. And it shouldn't be that difficult to revert back to the old drop rate for gun parts. It's not as in depth as the heavy ammo glitch back in VoG days. (Which they didn't even address as a problem that needed to be fixed for many months.) Also, they had no problem with writing in code to nerf 3 of coins. Meanwhile the guys like me who didn't abuse the 3 of coins get doubly screwed. They nerf 3oc so people cannot take advantage of it, yet the people who were taking advantage of it don't need it anymore. It's mind boggling.
-
Not gonna lie I completely misread your comment But honestly I like the buying weapons parts more because the nerf wasn't that awful it was something like 25% which sucks but still isnt terrible and now we can just buy them Also 3oC was only nerfed if you used them too quickly so if you use them properly you shouldnt notice a difference
-
I don't mind being able to buy the weapon parts, assuming they are not ridiculously expensive. Just saying Deej's comments were degrading and unnecessary.
-
I have removed several guests from a restaurant I ran because they were disrespectful to a server or host staff. Guess what I had other guests say they will come back more often because I took a stand for an employee over money.
-
There is a big difference though. What if your waiter spilled drinks on your customer and then responded with, this is our restaurant, if you don't like getting drinks spilled on you go somewhere else.
-
Again people on this forum lead with I hope you have a painful death. They could always use a real name like I do but it is way easier to run your mouth when you are only known as xxbongripper420xx

Edited by PapaSohan: 11/6/2015 6:37:31 PMBut as a professional he simply cannot make a blanket statement disrespecting everyone who is suffering from the weapon parts depression. My buddy is a day 1 player. When the expansion came out he turned in close to 3000 weapons parts for faction rep leaving him with maybe 500 or so. The assumption was that weapon parts would be as easy to get as they always were, but now he can't do any of the weapon upgrading he wants to do. He has never posted or replied to a thread on the forums. So when Deej made a comment like that it pissed him the hell off, to the point where he has now decided he will pick up blops 3 this weekend, which means I have 1 less guy to run trials with. Edit: it also means I might pick up Blops 3 this weekend. And who know, it might lead to us not playing Destiny anymore because we end up like that game better, a game we never would have even started playing if it weren't for Deej's comment.

And that's a good employer...kudos for you my man
