I just read the weekly update, and I am not really seeing this passive aggressive tone. The 1600 weapon parts part was obviously an attempt at humour, and a successful one at that. As for the rest of the comment, he is just informing us that they hold the right to tinker with the game in any way they see fit, but they also have a right to change their mind should their original opinion turn out to be wrong. If anything, it was ownership of a mistake. They made a change that they thought was in the best interest of the game and now they are accepting and admitting they were wrong. Some of you need to chill out a bit. What is the point of companies engaging with the community if all they are going to get is over-reactions and emotional misjudgements? To be honest, with the way this community conducts itself, I am surprised Deej hasn't told you all to go -blam!- yourselves.

  • I think the idea is if you are paid for public relations you can be expected to do your job professionally. That being said i wasnt offended. I laughed at the fact that it seems he is a bit shaken at the criticism. (warented, whiney or whatever your opinion of said criticism may be)

  • I have thrown copious amounts of money at my screen. I don't need to be mocked by some loser who doesn't even play Destiny.

  • Deej, or Cozmo? Take your pic both accounts are a joke. I have all 3 classes over 300 and I have a family and work 70/80 hours a week. If my job was Destiny you can bet your ass I would make it a priority.

  • Lol yeah, it's weird that they barely play. At the same, I can see them getting sick of destiny when it's literally their job. I have no clue how the organization is structured, but all of the economy nerfs and faction rep/bounty nerfs seemed to come from left field. The only logic I can make sense of is an aim to make the players "grind more" and I don't get it. Maybe they genuinely want people to play less, forget about destiny until they can come out with real content. It's looking like this "drip feed" is going to be a shit show. And if they add more DLC similar to HoW I wont play an hour. In terms of progression and loot the only thing worth doing is the HM raid and ToO. It's like they tiered the end game, which has bottle necked everyone except for the very casual gamer. Even my casual gaming IRL friends say they're tired of Destiny. Seasons do change. Maybe Destiny just needs to die for awhile lol
he is just informing us that they hold the right to tinker with the game in any way they see fit
Slightly disrespectful to those that have put over a £100 ($175) into the game.

  • How the -blam!- is it disrespectful. it's a simple fact that they can tinker with the game at any point in any way they want to, if they couldn't we would never get bug fixes or changes or new content. Sometimes things go wrong. They owned up to their mistake and THANKED US for bringing it to their attention that in our eyes, it was in fact a mistake. And they fixed it.

  •
How the -blam!- is it disrespectful. it's a simple fact that they can tinker with the game at any point in any way they want to, if they couldn't we would never get bug fixes or changes or new content.
What they actually said
In all sincerity, as the curators of your living social world, we reserve the right to tinker with the economy.
Economy being key, they chose to restrict weapon parts to effectively drag the game out longer, having more weapon parts was not a negative thing for anyone, not one single person. This was not bug fixing, it was an artificial way of extending game play to make up for a content running out, now before you start pissing all over the place, I'm not saying you have run out of content as like me you probably have better things or more important things to do than play Destiny all day, however, some people have indeed run out of content and might feel that more should be available considering the investment. Once again before you start pissing everywhere the notion of acceptable levels of content is entirely subjective as is the notion of value for money and is certainly not something YOU have the final word on. You mention new content as well as bug fixes, reducing weapon parts was not new content, the only content has been a timed collection of 3 quests with an RnG system that may let you complete it and a micro transaction system that may help you complete it if you spend more money. The pros and cons of micro transactions have been much discussed and there is no middle ground really but in my onion this collections of missions with masks is not, "content" or to put it another way I am not content with it, however, this si subjective and you may well like so good luck to you.
They owned up to their mistake and THANKED US for bringing it to their attention that in our eyes, it was in fact a mistake. And they fixed it.
People were telling them it was a mistake before the patch was implemented, they just hoped it would get forgotten after a while, thankfully people persevered with the questioning of it and got a result.

  • Stop riding the dick and think before you speak fanboy.. have you not seen the bad business practices that they have been doing, not to mention all the lawsuits including the one with the games composer who they fired without paying him essentially robbing him it took a court of the people to tell bungie they aren't god and can't treat people like that with that in mind isn't it possible that bungie might not be looking out for us at all?

You do realize that everything you just said has absolutely nothing to do with the issue this thread is about, right? I am curious though, what makes you think that Bungie should be looking out for you? They are a business, they are not your friend or work colleague, etc. Start looking out for yourself.

  • The point I am trying to make is we made VANILLA better Destiny YEAR one was the world's most expensive demo They stated many times it was a work in progress when we paid for a finished product they praised us for helping them consistently fix something that honestly should have never made it past beta testing now they have to be so cavalier about their right to do as they please when they want... even how they have so many weapon parts, tell me this, what did they expect us to do with the introduction of new exotics and weapons then not use them and experiment with them it all cost weapon parts look at it how it is get off deejs dick and think for yourself if you still don't get it well then you never will

  • An expensive demo you spent over 300 hours playing. Tell me, how many games have you spent that much time in? The whole "Work in Progress" doesn't = demo or beta. What it means is Destiny is an ever evolving game that will constantly change in small or big ways. Good job at taking that quote way out of context though. The weapon parts comment was an obvious attempt at humour. I am thinking for myself. You are the one jumping on the self entitled complain train. Not really sure why you think me thinking the same as you would suddenly mean I am now thinking for myself.
