Well said OP thank you.
Honestly at this point it's just reinforcing my stance that unless Destiny 2 offers massive, significant changes for the better I'm done with this franchise. Despite the good gunplay and amazing lore (grimoire needs to be in-game guys...) I just can't keep backing them in good conscience. Between the cut content, horrible game balance and game-breaking lag I've about had it. Destiny got a free ride on good will, marketing and lack of competition but all that's changing rapidly. Black Ops 3 is out now and is apparently actually pretty good (or so I'm being told anyway) but that's still Activision so I don't count it.
Star Wars and Fallout are both due out very soon and there's all kinds of great next-gen titles slated for next year. I'm sure there will be a solid base of mouthbreathers who keep buying anything and everything Destiny for the next 8 years, but at this point I'm willing to bet Destiny 2 will fall flat on its ass unless there are serious changes at Bungie. Currently there are only 2 things really keeping me playing - my friends, and lack of other real great multiplayer options. I like Crucible, I really do - the alpha was actually some of the most fun I've had in a shooter in YEARS. But since launch, the Crucible has been getting crappier and crappier and what bothers me most is that it's not because it's a bad experience, it's because Bungie can't manage it worth a goddamn.
Between the unbearable lag & horrible balancing in PvP, and the absurdities of the Raid and PVE in general really Bungie has their work cut out from them. Maybe if they'd stop screwing the pooch and take the time to seriously play their own game they'd realize the fundamental flaws that are plaguing it and actually do something about it. But then again it's far more profitable to just cover it up with a shiny new coat of paint and market it to sheoples.

Well said. I honestly think that TTK was a single step forward, but 2 steps backwards. They made a lot more content irrelevant than created. The game has such great mechanics and graphics in many parts that so many of us are just disappointed in their lack of a vision forward. All of their current updates seem to be just to artificially extend their lack of content or make life harder for the players.

Right, like they're admitting that they don't have much if anything for us and are just stalling for Destiny 2 and/or milking us. Assuming that leak about all the content we've received so far originally being planned to be included in the base game is true, and it's looking increasingly like it is, well it's just all the more damning and apparent within the actual game. Either that or they are just GROSSLY incompetent. What the hell was wrong with just keeping Etheric light for end game and moving it out of POE? Or at least coming up with an alternative to it. The infusion system (and the way light works now) is so horribly flawed it just creates more problems than it solves. Exotics are prohibitively expensive now to level up and worse, can roll at crap values. At least with Year 1 drops in general you only had to be concerned with getting the right stats and modifiers for armor and not the defense rating - now you have to worry what level it rolls at, and for weapons as well. Bungie, are you listening? THERE IS ENTIRELY TOO MUCH RNG IN THE GAME CURRENTLY AND NOT ENOUGH CONTENT.
