I partially agree with your post, however, as a long time manager over what are essentially entitled babies, there comes a point when you have to put your foot down, and inform said people that they aren't entitled to a damn thing.
Secondly, it's called continuous improvement. Bungie set a 10 year goal, and they are making improvements as they collect more and more data. To me, coming from a manufacturing background, it makes perfect sense. We make improvements at work, and we encounter all sorts of whining and bitching, until... The babies see how well the improvement is.
To be truthful, not 100% of said improvements are worthy, so the babies get to continue gloating about how right they were. It's a win a lot - lose a few battle. I see the same thing happening here.
Now, my agreement with you and many others, is the feeling I get when the forums and social media are flooded with constructive feedback that is consistently ignored. Be snarky all you want Bungie, it's your game, but don't be snarky if you aren't going to acknowledge viable feedback from your consumers.
