I agree in terms of toxicity and childishness, but to be fair the forums are a smaller percentage of the whole community.
The main issue is that this game is ever evolving, and we as Guardians are allowed to take advantage of that. Most games these days receive the occasional patch but usually they are not influenced by direct contact from people playing to techs.
Destiny is different in that the development of this game is... malleable. Constantly changing, our world is. The main way we as Guardians see changes come about would be through these forums, by way of threads and all that. That is only what we see, however.
Also, think about this: these forums, as I said, don't really represent the entire Destiny player base. We, as forum-goers are a percentage of the total Destiny population. There is a smaller percentage of people within the forum-goers who post these extremely hateful and rude threads regarding what they do not like about the game. They threaten to quit, or bring up games soon to arrive that will end Destiny for good. We are free to sit back and call these people "kids" and state guesses at age with the utmost of certainty, but at the end their posts are just shit anyway.
TLDR: these shitposters within our already small Forum Community are the equivalent of a child throwing a tantrum at a Walmart for a candy bar. Treat them as such, Guardians.
