Just the fact that we are seeing all these comments and posts about how people interpreted it as passive aggressive mean the "joke" wasn't successful at all. It was a stupid joke that was too open to interpretation thanks to the lack of intonation and body language that doesn't happen over print communication. Someone needs to proofread Deej's updates for problems like this that can arise.
When he updates, as an employee, he is speaking on behalf of Bungie. Bungie needs to be sure that whatever jokes or little snippets of "personality" within the update needs to have very little room for interpretation.
