Edited by bren12310: 11/7/2015 3:03:08 PMACTUALLY PROOF FOR WHY IT DOESNT REQUIRE SKILL 1. "Taking skill" in destiny just means that you can move your fingers really fast 2. It's all in the the gun 3. Anyone who brags about being good in destiny could get their ass kicked any day in real life 4. Try shooting a real human being. It's not as easy at it sounds 5. Everyone acts like they're practicing for when they actually need it in battle. Well try using a real AK, it'll shake your arm off and you'll miss every single bullet 6. Once again, moving your fingers really fast take no skill 7. It's all just in your connection - bad connection = auto win 8. Moving your fingers really fast takes no skill 9. Moving your fingers really fast takes absolutely no skill Some people have literally no intelligence I don't play the crucible cause I don't have the right guns - hence #2 The only time I do crucible I try to make fun with it(such as only using a dregs promise) I can only get on during the week ends so I share my account with my friend who plays during the weekdays. Edit: I am done replying to this so please ask your questions and send your hate now so I can get them before I leave Edit: DAMNIT, you guys got me to reply... I'll only reply to comments that are people who are actually reasonable and aren't talking shit right away. Wait till I talk shit to talk shit back, I don't want to talk shit with any shit cause talking shit is bad shit. So please stop talking shit please :)

There is a lot of Bullet Magnetism in Destiny and that's a conversation for another day however I can tell you exactly what's going on here. He's using Mida, and Mida's is deceiving we all see the arrow however the actual reticle is a full triangle, Mida fires from the center of the triangle not the tip, if you look at his shots he's not hitting them once they've left the perimeters of a full triangle.

Aim assist is in every game lol

Edited by Jack Oilar: 11/7/2015 3:25:51 PMWe know and r still going to play this game even with all of its horrid flaws
-
You didn't even need the proof.... I would have believed you without it
-
Every single FPS has some sort of aim assist. Bullets will curve towards their targets, even if you are aiming slightly to one side. Destiny has extra aim assist compared to some games, but it's nothing new.

Edited by Pablo__99_: 11/7/2015 2:45:54 PMI thought i was good.......
crushed
I don't disagree that shots are pretty easy to connect on in destiny as a whole, but you still have to find the hit box even if the spread is a little off the body. Overall though, while the gunplay is fun for me at least, it's obviously as you pointed out, not the most skilled part of the game. The skill level in destiny is more distinguished by movement ability and situational awareness. People can say what they want about there being no skill in destiny, but some players are better than others in the crucible, and if there really wasn't any kind of technique involved then everyone would be on a relatively level playing field, and they definitely aren't.
-
Yep good vid.
-
And?.... #shruglife.
-
No there are people with skill. There has to be because I constantly see plenty of scrubs without any. In PVE and PVP.
-
The lag is mostly the problem in this game. If you don't have a presteen connection you are at a disadvantage right away and will always lose 1 on 1 when you shouldn't.
-
Soo, why do I keep on hearing "Guardian Down!".
-
Not getting my view
-
I'm hopeful that Destiny 2 will have custom game modes and the ability to remove radar as I do believe Destiny could be a fun game to watch in eSports; more so than LoL or Dota for me.

Edited by Carib50: 11/7/2015 11:56:54 AMLol the person in the video was just good/ the people he was fighting against were terrible. I could easily whoop his MIDAss with my team and me.

Dude nice name !!!
-
wow only proof here is this guy has no clue how severs work
-
If the aim assist in this game is so wonderful then why hasn't everyone been to the freaking lighthouse or have at least a 1.5 kd? People are actually good at this game. It's not all just letting this game do work. You have to have some skill to be good
-
Life requires skill. Video games do not. They are entertainment. Stop acting like anyone's worth is tied to games.

Edited by AlexShepardLIVE: 11/7/2015 1:54:12 AMI love how someone actually shines a light on the boogeyman and all the elitist come out louder and harder than I have ever seen. This is why I use lesser weapons, I prefer a real challenge; not some aim bot pulse rifle or scout rifle or bullet curving sniper rifle. The writing is on the wall kids
-
This is why I play destiny for the pve. I love me some pvp but I'll let halo fill that void
-
Bungie try desperately to hang on to their reputation of being a good pvp developers! Sorry Bungie but you don't have it in you anymore
-
Nothing new there. All console shooters have aim assist. You can find exactly the same type of video for Halo/CoD and countless others.
-
If Aim Assist is the only thing that determines skill in Destiny, then give a player in the top 1% the Mida and someone in the top 90% the Mida (with its large Aim Assist stat), and see who wins. Based on this video, both would have an equal chance of winning due to there being no skill involved. However, if both players have the EXACT same weapon, then there is skill involved, because they have equal footing. Someone who had gun skill and understands how the game works in terms of maps, radar detection, super use, when to use particular weapons, and how to actually play the game, versus someone who doesn't, is going to win based on their experience and skill level, just like every other game. Not because of Aim Assist.
